Halo has acquired a huge variety of competitive and casual gamers alike, hence the need for a very broad playlist (But nothing too broad, we don’t want too much!)
So, I am interested to know what playlist’s you expect to be in Halo 4, and what about those lists you expect from them.
To get us started, I’ll give an example. You can make up your own playlist and how it plays, just make sure you describe it a little bit without going into some huge in-depth story about how it works.
My Example…
Tradtional…
Team Slayer - All basic loadouts, armor abilities/attachments, 1-50 scoring system, 4vs4, ranked gametype.
One that I made up that sounds fun…
Vehicular Combat - Slowed walking and limited abilities to encourage vehicle usage. 1-100 scoring system, social gametype. Big maps, and fast vehicle respawn times. Slayer.
Of course there will be MLG players who expect maps with nothing but snipers, rockets, and DMR/BR placements, etc. Please, if you want that, SHARE IT!!! 
Edit: Please include whether or not you would want your ideal playlist to have new features (Such as forerunner vision, weapon drops, etc.) or old features (Pre-AA Halo style.)

Ranked:
Slayer, objective, FFA etc.

Classic slayer, classic objective, classic snipes, mlg

I know its just want you want but I really don’t see that happening. If they have ranked I bet it will come with everything. Only thing I see not being in there is join in progress. Don’t really see how it can be ranked with that.

I’m a very simplistic person. I just want ranked competitive playlists.
Ranked:
FFA - Free for all - Eight players ranked 1-100(I think we shouldn’t just stop at 50)
MLG - 4v4 - Eight players Ranked 1-100(When MLG has their settings ready/not at lunch)
Objective - 4v4 - Eight players Ranked 1-100(Never more than eight players)
Big Team Battle - 8v8 - Sixteen players Ranked 1-50(Should be harder to rank up in)
That’s just my thoughts and wishes. =]
5v5 Squad Slayer was the most fun I had in Reach.
It probably has to do with map size. There are no small Guardian/Lockout/Wizard maps in Reach . . .
I would like a more classic ranked playlist, but nobody plays them. Not because they aren’t fun, but the general populous sticks to Slayer and so the only way to find a match quickly is to play in vanilla Slayer, so the population gets even larger. So just force those 300 kids to stay in the larger playlists.
The population is spread too thin.
Lower map pack prices and start making them required in major playlists.
Game types like Infection, Grifball, and maybe even Invasion need to be turned back into weekend Double Exp/Cr. I never play these playlists in Reach but in H3 I looked forward to those weekends immensely, as did my also competitive friends

Doubles (I guess is popular)
BTB (Maybe)
MLG
Social:
FFA (Add a player or two and include party game types such as Hot Potato and Fiesta Slayer)
Slayer (Add a player and include party game types such as Swat, Grifball, etc.)
Objective (Add a player)
BTB
Multi-team
This seems like too many playlists in my opinion.
I would nix playlists like Doubles and MLG. But that’s just me.
