Given that the Halo 4 trailer does not show the Master Chief in his final form, how do you think the Master Chief will look in the game? I think he will look pretty similar to the trailer version. That’s just opinion though
Early in the game we’ll have Mark 6 and then, somehow, MC will get his new Mark 7 armor.
it will really depend we have no idea whats going to happen at all in the campaign
Frankie said that this is the first time weve seen Chief since h3, but it is NOT his first time out of the cryo tube. This probably explains his new armor in some way and may be revealed later on.
> Frankie said that this is the first time weve seen Chief since h3, but it is NOT his first time out of the cryo tube. This probably explains his new armor in some way and may be revealed later on.
That doesn’t make sense at all.
UNSC: Hey we found 117, lets go get him.
*goes to get John
UNSC: Oh hai John how are ya?
117: Oh i’m okay.
UNSC: Oh we almost forgot, here’s ya MK VII
117: K thanks gais, but imma go back to sleep in the ship and drift endlessly in space now.
UNSC:…okay.
117: Toodles
*John goes back to cryo
Well, 343i said that his armor changes are kinda a key plot line, so i dunno. All in all, I just want him to have a feeling of what he’s looked like in every other Halo game: Badass.
He should just look like Halo 3’s Master Chief. Please tell me how it makes sense to have him go into cryo-sleep at the end of H3 with Mark VI armor, and wake up with Mark VII. Even if it’s not Mark VII, it still makes no sense to change his appearance since he hasn’t been anywhere besides cryo-sleep.
The jetpack he has in the trailer alone makes no sense. If they introduce new armor, it shouldn’t be until a certain part in the story where he actually has the ability to get it.

Clearly you need to do some research.

I didnt say they revealed HOW he got it, im just saying that he GOT it somehow between h3 and the h4 reveal trailer. Yes it is far fetched, but 343 said they will explain how he got it at some point.

Really? Because it obviously makes no sense.

Exactly. How do people think that makes sense?

It WOULD make sense if you actually knew what you were talking about.

No, he’s referring to your statement on the ‘jetpack’. Its actually not a jetpack, but a thruster pack that’s built into John’s armor, in fact, you can see where it is on the Mark VI in Halo 3.
Anyway, the armor seen in the trailer isn’t the final one of course, but I’m surprised that everyone is making the prediction that its the Mark VII, which I feel as well, and that I think John will still has the Mark VI at the beginning of Halo 4, but then gets the Mark VII, possibly at the end, and it might be because during the game, the Mark VI starts to get damaged to the point to where it won’t function correctly and that he will need it’s successor, but this is just a theory.
Idk cuz if you look at the game cover you can see the armor he will prob have. So his final version prob won’t be that diffrent, and if it is, 343 needs to stop making the game cases before the character renders.

That isn’t a jet pack, dude. It’s a thruster pack. It’s been in the Mark VI since Chief got it. It was just never used in game-play or in game cut-scenes because there was never really a point.
It’s built for mobility and movement in the vacuum of space, not true, sustained flight.
It’s present in the books, but not the games.
I did some research.
(HINT) Nano-tech
The back piece of the Chief is much bigger in the Halo 4 trailer than it is in Halo 3.

Funny thing is, I remember floating around in Halo 2 (HOLY CRAP, HE STILL HAD MK VI GUYS, SAME ARMOR AS NOW -Yoink!-) and NOT having thrusters to use.
Mmmmhmmmmm. I argue the thrusters always being there, just seems like a way to bring the Reach crowd in easier.

Maybe Cortana woke Chief up earlier: “Hey Chief wake up I found a Mk VII in this storage/flying in space/other”, or they stopped by on some other old UNSC/Forerunner planet, picked up the armor and continued their drifting in space.
But seriously I hope and guess the trailer is just to throw us off and tease. Combine the beginning of the game with new features seen later on.
