Halo 4 Marines and ODSTs

There have been many topics on this forum about a variety of subjects relating to Halo 4, but nobody has really asked what the marines will look like in Halo 4.

This is an absolute mystery to me. I have no idea which art direction 343 will be taking with UNSC marines. Well, here are the marines from the past couple of Halo games.

Halo CEA Marine
Halo 2/ Halo 3 Marines
Halo Reach Marine

Personally, I think there is really no difference between the Halo 2 and Halo 3 marine. I can say the same for the Halo CEA marine and the Halo Reach marine, as they are practically the same model.

Anyway, I’d prefer it if the Halo 4 marine was like the Halo 3 marine, but with Reach’s detail. What I mean is, the color of the Halo 3 marine should be included (I find tan kind of boring, green is better) along with the attachments that the Reach marine had. You know, like including a knife, a couple of packs for ammunition and whatnot, and some new additions, but keeping the lovely green color that we’ve come to know over the past few games.

While I have you here, let’s also take a moment to discuss what the ODST should look like. To start you off, here are the ODSTs from past Halo games.

Halo 2 ODST
Halo 3 ODST
Halo 3 ODST…ODST
Halo Reach ODST

Personally, I want the ODST in Halo 4 to take on the look of the Halo 3 ODST ODST(I hate saying that). Of course, it will be enhanced by newer graphics and much more detail, and hopefully new additions will be made.

What do you want your Halo 4 Marine and ODST to look like?

I agree with you. I think the Halo 3 Marines and ODSTs look the best. They look more futuristic.

Halo CEA easily look the best IMO. As for ODST’s, H3 ODST ODST’s look the best.

I agree with marines, but i wouldn’t mind seeing the halo 2 odst, just redone

The Marines are in the last Level defending the Autumn. They look like the CEA marines except with sealed helmets.

Also in LNoS, in the cutscene where they are attaching the slipspace drive to the pelican

I liked the ODST’s from Halo 3 the best. They just seemed so awesome on the level the Ark.

ODST’s model for ODSTs are easily my favourite. The ones in Reach look good, but I tend to think of ODST’s model first. As for Marines, I miss the gray armour from CE. They looked good.

Still, this game takes place a couple of years after the events of Halo 3, right? So who knows what the Marines and ODSTs will be equipped with and what they’ll look like.
