Halo 4 maps suck

I think this is the biggest problem, they suck they aren’t of the quality of Halo 3 they aren’t even as detailed. They all look foggy and bland and some things don’t even make sense like how all the waves are moving away from the beach in ragnarock. Its like 343 rushed the hell out of all the maps. Bungie, they took their time and added detail EVERYWHERE. 343, everywhere i look i see lazy map making, its ugly, its too hard to look at im sorry.

This is what everyone says every-time a new Halo game comes.

I disagree, I like most of them. Except Ragnarok (what a joke).

The maps in Halo 3 were high quality, they looked beautifully detailed and were all fun and interesting. This is Halo 4 it should improve upon detail and interestingness not downgrade it! There are worse than reach maps, and reach maps were pretty dull…

Actually, I like them and I haven’t been able to enjoy Halo since the second one.

Whatever. I’m going to stop coming to these forums. Everyone wants Halo 3 in HD, but they forget everyone -Yoinked!- about Halo 3 as well when it came out. What’s worse, no one ever supports their argument; they just state their opinion in a hostile environment and leave with a smug smile. /steam

compare Ragnarok to valhalla Valhalla looks 100000x most realistic and professional, ragnarock looks like a crappy Counter Strike Source remake of Valhalla made by 1 person that was bored, really all the maps are like that. And whats with the space one? I thought halo took science seriously there is no gravity in space.

I was so excited for this game the trailers looked good everything looked good but its terrible

I think the maps are just really small or have stuff in awkward places

They’re very pretty maps, but it seems there was no thought what-so-ever in designing these maps. Especially the btb maps. Most of the areas on meltdown and exile have at least 10 site lines to them. This means that at any given point, you could be getting pinged from several dmrs from across the map. Abandon is a map that feels specifically designed for flood, yet it’s in every other type including regicide. Exile is one massive -Yoink- of a map. I’ve said this before, why the hell are there ghosts, hogs, gauss hogs, a scorpion, AND a banshee on such a convoluted map? You could be fighting in any of the “un open” areas only to get scorpioned. Vortex just turns into a battle for the middle base. When you’re killed, look forward to respawning and being instantly pinged by some guy camping with a dmr in the distance. Adrift is cool except for the narrow hallways that are perfect for nade spam and corner camping. Complex…do I even need to go into detail?

eh, to be fair, the main character has fallen from orbit TWICE, and survived.
