Halo: 4 MAPS need to be good

In Halo: 4 I think a few things need to be done. The first thing is bring back the BR. I personally like the DMR but for the good of Halo I think the BR needs to come back to rebuild the fanbase back up. Also 343 needs to make the BR hitscan. A big part 343 has to do is make some GOOD ORIGINAL maps that can be played over and over again. The maps I like in Reach personally NOT forge world maps are…Reflection, Countdown, Zealot is third. And I do not like Zealot that much. And Reflection is a remake so don’t even count that one. So there are two maps in this game that I like. 343 needs to work really hard on there maps in the next Halo game. That is the biggest concern for me. I’ll use any weapon BR/DMR or whatever. But the maps are a big part. The next thing is the matchmaking system. Stop matching me with a To4 it is the most annoything thing ever. Also they need to take out armour lock which I think they are already. I don’t feel like going through everything so peace. BIG thing though is the maps.

Please divide your paragraph into smaller paragraphs. It makes for a much easier read.

Halo 4 should feature the BR as it would follow canon and popular opinion. All of the Reach default maps are heavily flawed except Reflection, which is a remake of Halo 2’s Ivory Tower and doesn’t work with armor abilities anyway.

There should be a few remakes in Halo 4. Look how well Breakneck was received. I hope the original maps are better than those in Reach, and that the ranking system is fixed.

DMR is not a good weapon. the BR does not need to be hitscan. you need to lead your shots.

> DMR is not a good weapon. the BR does not need to be hitscan. you need to lead your shots.

Not for online multiplayer. Hitscan is a Godsend.

Every single map in Halo 2 and Halo 3 were Great…best maps I ever played and since the BR is most lekely to be in Halo 4 They should have maps or or some remake of Previous maps not including reach…In halo 2 and 3 they took time designing the maps and in reach it looks like they made no effort…in halo 2/3 there was all the terrain and really cool and outstanding maps and fit for the weapons…

I don’t think we need the BR specifically, but we need a good fun that can fill that role. But I agree. Having good maps, I think, is more important than having good weapons. Reach has very few good maps.

And typing Halo: 4 is unnecessary, man. For a moment I thought you meant “4 MAPS need to be good”

Worked fine in every halo game before Reach. why change a formula that isnt broken?

> I ‘can’ see a need for hitscan but then I can also look and see how well the Halo 3 BR worked. It was a balanced system and honestly I didn’t have host that much, I have experienced the goods and absolute worst of H3 but I think that BR spread is way more balanced than Hitscan.

> You pull the trigger and it registers… sure thats can be viewed as a god send, but also an annoyance, specifically for BTB gamers. Hit scan will turn the range on any utility weapon way up at no cost of accuracy. Which takes away the whole leading process that not a lot of people adapted to or blamed their connection or the netcode.

The BR isn’t Halo.

Halo is Halo.
Everything in Halo makes up Halo. Some of you choose to ignore things that you don’t like and you shove them down into your deep subconscious and never think of them again except that deep primal fear of Halo: Reach you all can’t seem to get around.

I believe all weapons should return, revised and redesigned for specific roles that don’t break the game. I want diversity. I want people to be able to choose a weapon they like and not have everybody else use it. Instead of entire team of level 50 Generals using BRs to cut down some kids, Those kids can use a weapon they remember of from Reach that actually can use well(DMR).

Just shut up and let 343 bring Halo out of the shell it was concreted in by the Wasps that are known as the “Community”.

We had nothing to do with the design process of Reach which is what killed Halo’s success. We did not suggest AAs/Bloom or design the layout of the horrible maps they gave us. Stop being so close minded and accept that where we are now is not our fault.

Every online Halo game besides Halo 3 as had hit-scan.

How is the DMR not a good weapon? Yes, bloom was a terrible idea, but without it the DMR is a good weapon that fills its role nicely.

Single shot weapons will always be more precise and rewarding for the players who can aim well as opposed to burst weapons. The only problem I have with it now are the huge amounts of aim magnetism and assist in the game.

Don’t get me wrong though, I would love the BR to come back for nostalgic purposes and to make the game actually feel like Halo 4 in canon.
