Halo 4 map Remakes are inevitable!!

Its inevetiable 2 say that there will be no remakes of maps in Halo 4 and 2 DLC later with remakes. SO post your top maps 1 from halo CE halo 2 halo 3 and halo Reach and 2 Dlc

I think it’s safe to say that we won’t be getting a Beaver Creek remake, since we just got one a little over a month ago for Reach… I mean, I could be wrong, but it’s pretty unlikely.

Anyway, I’d really like to see Halo 4 ship with:
Guardian
The Pit
Turf
Sidewinder (I’d rather see this for BTB than Bloodgulch… Go ahead, call me crazy…)

And then in the 2 DLC packs (assuming there will be 2) I’d like to see:
DLC1-Lockout (plus some other orignal maps in the DLC)
DLC2-Construct (also with more original maps)

I think that’d be enough remakes for one game… We don’t want half of the maps to be remakes, at least I don’t. I really wanna see some cool new original maps more than anything :slight_smile:

But those would be top 5 remakes I wanna see in H4.

Halo 4 = 2 remakes

Waterworks: because it has never been remade, was awesome, would look incredible with HD upgrade.

The pit: One of Halo 3’s best. Its competitive and symmetrical. Make it on board a ship with the sword side wall a giant window looking out in to space with the dyson sphere in the background.

( One of the firefight maps will be an overgrown lost platoon)

DLC1:

2 new maps
Relic remake

DLC2:

3 new maps no remakes

DLC3:

2 new maps
Frost Gulch ( A remake of blood gulch but in an underground ice cavern. Changes the look but plays like the original. Change a few things here and there to make it work.

I do not think maps like gaurdian/lockout should be remade. instead I think they should ship with a map that acts as a spiritual successor. For example, guardian is not exactly like lockout but they both offer the same style of gameplay. So instead of straight up remaking one or both, just create a map that follows the same style. Small/Competitive/ Asymetrical/ Throw in a lift/ and give it an abandoned arctic setting.

Oh and a High Ground remake would be awesome. Give it a snowy blizzard type feel. Like a bright light in a relentless tundra. Call it Fort Hope.

thats 3 ice maps. This/ Ice Gulch/ And icy lockout( which I will call Frostbite for the hell of it)

Halo 1: All of my favorite Halo 1 maps have been remade, other than Boarding Action. I think I’d like to see Sidewinder come back again.

Halo 2: Zanzibar and Terminal. I know we already got Zanzibar in Halo 3, but I really like that map. Wouldn’t mind having it back exactly the same.

Halo 3: The Pit!!! I like the idea that was suggested of it being on a ship, but I wouldn’t want it to be too gray. In other words, I don’t want it to look like the Forge World remake. I’d rather it be similar to the Halo 3 version, but with blue and red replacing the green and yellow, and the brown/tan being replaced with an almost blackish color. I don’t know, I have a picture of it in my head, but it’s hard to explain.

Also wouldn’t mind seeing a few others.

I sincerely hope there are zero remakes in Halo 4. I’m tired of playing the same maps over and over.

Just dont bring back any Reach maps.

I think we should narrow them down to 4 each, there won’t be more than 4 in the game.

Waterworks would fit nice but I would like anew forge world like sandbox but instead more than 1 forge world.
Have one in snow with beaten trees and hills in woods
Have one in space, epic space battles with new vehicles
And have one with multiple landscapes like forge world

But they should be left to a absolute minimum!
New developer, new trilogy, new setting: new maps. Don’t take too much from the old games 343i!

Just make some Forgeworld which allow for classic maps to be remade like they should be.

Oh, and I would like to see Highground return for some smaller scaled, faster paced Invasion. That map is perfect for it.
But otherwise: just make your own maps and just draw inspiration from the legacy (esspecially H2) you’ve got.

-The new map from the anniversary (i cant remember the name of it)

Forge:

-One big Forge world map, but with the option to change the terrain, time of day, and weather.

Terrain: Sand, snow, water, grass, and ice.

Weather: Rain, snow, lightning

And a night option.

Eh, I want new maps. Spiritual successors are cool, but a new game has new mechanics and old classics won’t necessarily play comfortably with them.

The Pit - the most balanced and competetive map in Halo
Lockout - Halo 2 style was awesome :smiley:
Wizard - my favourite Halo CE map

Just not too many generic BTB maps as DLC.

Halo CE: Ice Fields.
