I would just like to say that if you missed out on getting the Halo 4 DLC before they got taken off Xbox LIVE, there are still sealed Game of the Year editions of the game floating about the interent which contains all the DLC. Relatively cheap, as well. My copy just came today.
I heard that if you get the free War Games Map Pass from marketplace you can download all maps.
Does anyone know where to find Halo 4’s matchmaking playlists’ map info? Which map is in which playlist. I am trying to get the last achievements.

Everything related to the legacy titles has been taken off the marketplace if you’re looking to download them for the first time.

I gained access to Castle Crimson Majestic map packs by redownloading “War Games Map Pass” from X360 marketplace on dashboard instead of H4 main menu marketplace it was bugged for me. I find it strange Map Pass contains the map packs. I hope XOne/Series can gain access the same way I did!
Here’s what I’ve played for achievements.
Team Action Sack for Castle Crimson Majestic + Vertigo and Pitfall.
“Clay Pigeon” achievement.
Harvest is the only Crimson map in Team Action Sack so prioritizing that map is smart. There’s a lift on both Red and Blue main bases these lifts count as Man Cannons for the achievement at least.
“ODST” achievement works too.
“Got it!” achievement.
Team Action Sack Medal Madness gametype works, I recommend not killing anyone you must acquire Rockets at the start of a match of Pitfall it seems to be kill based instead of time. It’s not guaranteed to give Rockets every game of Medal Madness but Rockets are definitely present in that game mode. Change weapon (Y) incase Rockets are secondary weapon!
Alternatively Team Double with normal Slayer mode has Rockets on the map just pass it around without killing.
Team Objective for Ricochet.
Capture the Flag for vehicle achievement,
Big Team Battle too ofc if you’re that many players.
You may know. To those who don’t know!
You only need to do 3 achievements 1 per DLC.
Unlock 1 achievement of your choosing and around 5min into your next match it will unlock all achievements for the same DLC your achievement was tied to. Do this process on all 3 map packs and you have completed them all. Crimson/Castle/Majestic.
You can play 3 games total and 4th game will unlock your final set of achievements. You don’t need to play the same DLC twice unless someone missed out.
I recommend waiting out the in-game time to be extra safe the achievements pop next match though it’s possible they pop next time you log into H4 on main menu! Personally unsure of this quitting method just heard of it.
Bullseye must be completed individually these achievements can’t be done using the same trick/method as Castle Crim Maj.
Castle DLC I used “Beating Up the Beat”
Majestic DLC I used “Didn’t See It Comin’”
I don’t remember all gamemodes in Team Action Sack… if you have a non scoped weapon try to pick up from someone else or wait for the correct loadouts Magnum, Binary Rifle, Rockets and many more work.
It might not be the best method to get these achievements but these playlists and methods work 2021!
Team Objective, Capture the Flag and Team Doubles max party size is one team so you must search for eachother and match up online unlike Team Action Sack. Party leader(s) don’t forget to back out of lobby to find correct maps this is Halo 4 I made this mistake!
