I’m quite disappointed in how 343 Industries managed Reach. Many people bought all the DLC, but it’d be very rare for them to get a chance to play it. This takes out a lot of fun, and discourages many people from buying more DLC. 343 has now released an update to Reach, taking away many of my favourite playlists. This is probably one of the last updates for Reach, and I am very disappointed. Their excuse for the update is “the vast majority of our resources right now are dedicated to Halo 4.” Alright, but next time, don’t close and lock down playlists many people enjoy just because we are nearing Halo 5.
I will be pre-ordering the Limited Edition of Halo 4, and this is just a request to manage Halo 4 better than Reach. I just want to play on DLC maps I pay to play on, and get a full and enjoyable experience out of Halo 4.
Agreed. The DLC system in Reach was garbage.
No one bought the DLC for Reach because the game did not require them to. Hell, only TWO of the Reach playlists are DLC Required now.
Actually the DLC in Reach was Bungie’s fault, not 343i. I think 343i is just trying to salvage Reach.
OT: Halo 4 seems like the DLC will be better manage than Reach.
The only DLC I got to play on was Anniversary, which had a better system than Defiant and Noble. My Reach disc is messed, so I have to play on the Anniversary disc. I’m not getting another Reach, I’m saving up for Halo 4.
Noble and Defiant maps would NEVER show up on Matchmaking. If they did, I’d turn on my Turtle Beach and scream in the lobby to vote for them. They would always get voted down.
You cant fix what was already broken

Um, either way, it doesn’t matter who’s fault it was. Reach DLC was still poorly managed.
Yes, it’d better be. A lot of people will be buying this game. DLC never showing up will leave a lot of players and fans very angry. I hope for 343i to learn from Reach’s mistakes (don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed Halo: Reach a lot, but it wasn’t a perfect game).
