For some reason they decided to lock a 77 page thread based on all the issues. So with that being the case, it sure leaves a feeling of distaste in my mouth where this issue is being swept under the rug and forgotten about. The last “update” was that they recommend you install the 1st disk, yet I have already stated several times in that thread that that doesn’t help. So what now? Do we just keep getting kicked out to the main menu and are forced to deal with it?

I have the EXACT same problem, and it has been persisting since launch day, only, in my case…I haven’t been able to get into a game. AT ALL. I’ve tried 25 times, two different connections, reinstalling Disc 2 through Disc 2 and through the downloadable content.
I just formatted my hard drive, clearing up 13 gigs of space… When I went to download my XBL profile again, it gave me an error - which I looked up and means “not enough disk space”. I’m beginning to think my hard drive is corrupted, and this is a reason why the game won’t let me into any matchmade games.
I wish someone would help us. I am feeling VERY left in the dark by 343 Studios, it’s complete utter -Yoink-. I am thinking of returning Halo 4 and returning everything.
I agree to. When I saw them lock that thread, instantly thought that they are just going to leave the game as is and not correct the problems. Would be nice to hear something about this instead of leaving us in the dark.
I’ve reinstalled war games and spartan ops several times, even tried to install disc 2, delete spartan ops and move wargames and game saves to my internal memory. Problem still persists.
Any updates. I bought a new HDD after doug everything I could possibly imagine and I have the same issue. I get unreadable disc messages with the HDD installed but can play the game with a USB stick and disc 2 installed but some maps don’t load in multiplayer and sometimes campaign doesn’t load and now I’m starting to get frequent freezes where the audio continues in a loop and if I remove the USB the Xbox unfreezes. So it’s a different kind of freeze. They have better have an update about a future patch soon.
I’m having a similar problem. Though I can play multiplayer and spartan ops perfectly fine, custom games and forge are major problems. Every time I try to access one of these it will kick me out and send me to the main menu. Now, for some reason, its starting to happen to my multiplayer randomly. I installed both disks and I have over 40gb of space (cause I barely have any games). I would assume that this is fine to run everything, but apparently it isn’t. I’m glad I can play multiplayer from time to time, but I would love to play some games like Fat Kid or other custom games…but I guess 343 is playing the waiting game with us (not trying to downsize 343, they are just taking their sweet time that’s all).
Hey guys, is there any new word on this stupid problem?? It looks like it’s been over a month since anyone has posted here. I’m having exactly the same issues. I just keep getting kicked in MP and get disc read errors. I’ve now got a new version of the game and my disc read errors have reduced but it’s still kicking me back to the main menu. 343/Mircosoft please fix this problem, it’s maddening that a exclusive title is having so many issues… pick up the game people or you may find people moving back over to Playstation.
Hey, guys. My friend has a very similar problem. Every time a matchmaking game starts, mid-load he’s kicked back to Infinity Lobby. This problem persists for War Games AND Spartan Ops.
SOMEBODY please give us some info. I’ve pretty much lost all hope in 343 at this point.
