Okay. This may be the 10th, maybe 100th post on this topic, but, for argument sake. They were probably 100 posts of people wanting “Halo 4 lower gun in multiplayer(xbox live)” and they didn’t get their voices heard so. Glad I get that out the way.
So. Just saw that I cannot lower my gun in multiplayer. Yay. For the 4th Halo game in a row. I was ‘really’ hoping they just suck it up and add it in. If they’re exploits, patch them. Not that hard. Persides I thought the Microsoft bug team are there for a reason.
C’mon guys? Their were dozens of topics of this asking for this, i.e The vote: Click here for the topic,Which got 211/218 for a Yes. Can’t we have it in least customs. Like who cares if they’res exploits in customs anyway!? That’s the host’s choice to let the guy to whom is doing it be kicked/ not kicked. With this feature, machinima work would have been WAY easier to do.
I’m least hoping that lowering gun can be implemented later in a future update. There’s also topics like This What are good ideas, as a gametype. So that limited the gun lowering not just to customs but to 1 specific gametype!
Sorry if this sounds mean but people before me have asked nicely, and haven’t got what was asked for. If small stuff like this can’t be accepted, they’res no point asking for anything at all. Thanks for reading (if you read it all) Discuss below.

Also. Here’s a link of youtube, which is the July Halo 4 panel. That confirmed it were to be coming to multiplayer, and I’m 100% sure Frank was meaning Xbox live: Click here. The video will skip straight to the part.

Clearly, you don’t know what you are talking about. It has been confirmed by multiple sources that lowering your weapon is only doable offline. There is no custom game gun lowering with friends, I guess they decided to take the easy route.
I am with you OP, I was really hoping that weapon lowering in custom games would be possible. Making machinimas with friends would be great, I don’t want to have to recover my friends account just to film a scene with his character because he has different armor than me.
343, if you read this, can you PLEASE for the love of Halo and us Directors, make custom games where you can lower your weapons with friends?

Well. I would like to see how you do this.

Thanks ,Criticaly Fatal. I’m happy they added features. But they’ve removed features doing it. i.e Forge. Yet they introduced magnets, Fine editing and zoom for monitor have gone :\

I love your infusism to correct. Though your comment is sadly invalid. So. I clicked your link. They say they confirmed it. Now let’s goto a more recent link.
i.e the post by bs angel on November 7th who posted a video on halo waypoint page with this video: Click here. Which in the video it says local only. What we are here for is Halo 4 lowering weapon in multiplayer ON XBOX LIVE
So I’m happy you found that link. I can now use it as proof that they did confirm it, and I’m 100% sure they ment by “Multiplayer” they ment Xbox live. That it’s been 5 years and counting since people have wanted this feature.
Well, I’m going to have to assume that it is a different (likely more complicated) code to lower it in Multiplayer, and that the video maker was not given that combo.
I think 343 would have specified Split screen if was only available offline. Which means they probably changed their minds afterwards, and I don’t think that they would have changed it, after confirming it, without telling us that they made the change.
This leads me to believe that it is still in Multiplayer, and we have not been given the combo at this time.
Either that, or it’s going to be added at a later date, along with the other half of Halo 4.
Well. -I’m not going to lie here- Somehow, in a multiplayer, I did spawn without my gun showing, and the reticle still there. So aka my gun was down. Though I just spawned. I had a idea what was going on but I had no clue how it happened.
Meh. I just really hope they put it in customs least. Along with the other features that they removed.

This! I seriously cannot understand why this was left out.

Or, they just copied the lower weapon code, like they copied 90% of Reach’s code anyway, so it still only works offline.
I’m still trying to understand how is Halo 4’s multiplayer 8GB!? Halo Reach’s had just as same graphics and equivalent amount of maps, including firefight too, and I’m not getting how Halo 4’s multiplayer matches up to it. They have practically evened it out with things added/things taken away
> I’m still trying to understand how is Halo 4’s multiplayer 8GB!?
Um, because it’s not. It’s 3.5 (the 2 DLC packages it installs from disk/web for Spartan Ops/War Games are 1.5 gigs and 2 gigs). They just said 8 gigs because the disk can hold up to 8 gigs, so they weren’t sure how much of it was content.
It’s similar to how dlc codes on game inserts say “requires up to 4 gigs”, since 4 gigs is the maximum size a dlc container can be. My last one was under a megabyte for a pre-order dlc file, and it still said requires 4 gigs.

> Meh. Stay on topic guys. One small thing at a time C:
