After watching all the new videos up for Halo 4, the gameplay looks a lot like the PS3 title Resistance. Come on, the PV AA is a lot like R2&R3’s Auger weapon, even the new personal shield AA looks like the brawler’s shields, the (what I’m assuming is) the main “Promethean” enemy looks a lot like the Chimera also. The enemies seem like bullet sponges too, like the enemies of Resistance.
Halo 4 = Resistance and Halo Reach’s baby. IMO
Am I the only one noticing the resemblances?
AAs are still more Crysis style, only “evolved”
Ordnance drops, spartan points, perks, unlocks, Join in progress and such are still more Homefront then CoD
BR, DMR and stickes are still Halo
Your right it does look like Resistance… Oh wait no it looks like cod… no, never mind it looks like Metroid… maybe battlefield… nope Killzone for sure…
Oh of course now I remember it looks like YOINK!ING Halo.
> The enemies seem like bullet sponges too, like the enemies of Resistance.
Funny, the enemies look like they have a reasonable amount of health and shielding. Never before have I seen the AR take down so many low ranking enemies, since CE. In Reach, it could only get about 2 Grunt/Jackal kills with 1 clip.
Well Resistance IIIs protagonist is pretty bad and from I’ve heard and played a bit, it’s not much of an improvement. Burning Skies on the Vita is also a trainwreak.
> It’s funny because Halo was released many, many years before Resistance.
Yes, but Halo 4 was not.
I agree, I think it’s the new enemies and forerunner aesthetics. To see something in the Halo universe that is AI, but seem so organic like all the Promethean enemies, seems very… Alienish.
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, I mean all game developers can benefit from each other, and I’m glad to see Halo growing up. Halo Reach TRIED to make Halo grow up, but it looks like Halo 4 will succeed in doing this.
