Halo 4 looking back.

so 343 has certainly shown us alot more than what we have expected in halo 4 and truly the game looks amazing. But let us not forget what happen before e3 more formally the halo 4 first look..

Recently I re watched my so far favorite halo 4 trailer and that was the concept art glimpse . the first time I watched it in astonishment the environments looked so “Halo” it was truly everything I expected it to be. the way it made chief look so small in a big world.

To be honest the more that I have seen 343 release the less I seem to see of these environments. It seems that the environments in the trailer were really only supposed to be concepts except for a few. though I have seen some amazing environments from halo 4.

That seems to be the one thing that we are probably getting less of. its a diversity of environments. so far we have seen a forerunner platform, a jungle, a human facility, and a snowy environment that looks more like a human camp then a forerunner fortress.

what do you guys have to say about the slow process for us as a community for halo 4?

> what do you guys have to say about the slow process for us as a community for halo 4?

I only have one issue with this community when it comes to Halo 4… why on earth have we not stormed 343 headquarters and demanded the game early yet?

you have a point my friend. rally the armies!

I am kind of glad 343 hasn’t released so much about halo 4 because it makes it much more of a fun experience and has much more of a surprise.

I will gather my men. I will lead the assault. 4 HALO 4!!! (Halo 4 pun intended)

I don’t want to see all the environments yet. In do time. I wouldn’t hold it to 343’s head so early. They just don’t want to show us yet, or until we get the game.

Maybe another trailer will showcase this. I don’t think this is a slow process.

the environments I really want to see in halo 4 are: the ones at 0:34, 0:37, 0:51, and 1:10. all of the environments are awesome but the rest are to predictable and I imagine they will be in halo 4 but the ones listed above really stand out.

Truthfully, we’ve seen pretty few environments that resemble the Concept Art Trailer images. We’ve barely seen the game’s environments at all. There may be room for more of these environments in Halo 4 when the game comes out.

Looking back, I also enjoyed the early trailers since E3 2011. That was back when Halo 4 was still mysterious and any fathoming of what our opponents could be was just speculation.

truthfully that was my favorite part of this process. it was all a mystery and we would always wonder what happen next. if only 343 didnt release anything but those early trailers just imagine.

The only downside to that would be all the rage of not having any of these changes advertised when the game comes out.

yea I called that time “the drought” but I remember when I saw the first look. I thought I was going to have a heart attack and then all the info and gameplay started pouring in about 2 months later.

To be honest, I’m just as excited now as I was when it was announced and the first trailers were being released. Despite all of this new info, I’m still at a state of awe and wonder at the mysteries that have yet to be revealed to us. The mystery may not be as prominent, but it is still there and I still can’t wait to see what Halo 4 has in store for me this November 6th.
