Whaddup guys?
Do you know what’s going to be awesome? Halo -Yoinking!- 4. That’s right, this game is gonna kick more balls than a Chinese Kim Chi black-belt. Whether you’re in it for campaign and/or Wargames, whether you’re casual, hardcore or anything in between, Halo 4 has got something for you.
It’s pretty clear that everything we saw from E3 confirmed our suspicions that, and dare I say it, Halo 4 is lookin’ like the bomb. There really are no game-breaking issues that can be found with the game so far. Promethean vision’s only really an advanced version of the radar and, despite its popularity at E3, I very much doubt that it’s going to be the most highly-used ability at launch, especially when you have other ridiculously cool abilities like Energy Riot Shield and Speed Fast (Thruster Pack).
Speaking of Thruster Pack, it’s -Yoinking!- great. In about a year, we’re going to have Thruster Pack-only ninja montages all over Youtube. Yeah, right? That is awesome. Not to mention, we’re all going to get to feel like badasses every time we use Warp 1 to dart around the battlefield and kick some of whichever one of the two colors that make up purple that we aren’t’s -Yoink-.
I gotta say, I’m really liking the sandbox that we’ve been seeing here. Despite the small issues that will probably be fixed by launch, everything about this new game looks solid and well-made. And I’m not just talking about Infinity. Wargames aside, Spartan Ops and the main campaign are looking to be full of heart-wrenching, emotionally-driven story. It seems they’re really going out of their way to help us feel connected to the characters in their universe and, you know, I guess that’s a good thing, right? I mean, unless the writers actually had no skill in story-telling whatsoever and every subsequent person who read it after was just plain too dumb to see how bad it was for the last three years all the way up to E3, then I don’t really see how the script to Halo 4 could be anything short of absolutely amazing.
This is good news for us because it means that we’ll be getting a very fun, deep & well-made regular and co-op campaign and I, for one, am very interested to see how this whole thing pans out. Not to mention the whole second campaign with Spartan Ops.
Whatever your feelings on the specifics of Halo 4, you all have to admit that you are a little more than just intrigued by the game. So, tell me, Waypoint forums, what’s got you excited about Halo 4?
