A vehicle that I have been wanting in Halo 4 is the Locust. I have been thinking that the Locust should be put in as a artillary vehicle with high accuracy but less damage than say the Wraith or the Scorpion.
Could you explain to us (people that haven’t read the books) what the Locust is?

I don’t think anything called a “Locust” has been mentioned in the books. Has it?
The Locust is a Covenant vehicle from Halo Wars. It shoots a beam like the Scarabs, a much weaker beam that is.
I thought this thread was going be bashing the Grunt redesign because they look like GoW Locust… Ho hum…

the locust is a fragile yet high powered artillary unit from halo wars. Think Mini Scarab with energy sheilds.

Thank you.
I’d like the Cobra in too, But it would be the same as the tank really.
most likely we will see alot of forerunner vehicles, no covenant.
i can see it now an anti vehicle vehicle with shields of which are strong against small arms yet the whole thing can be taken out in two tank shots. and a charge-able overdrive beam which drains its shields. a good balanced taste of driving the scarab
Why not just bring drivable Scarabs into the mix lol as long as we’re making a wish list
It would be really awesome if this was added. Make it easily destoyable but VERY powerful. Balance is key with this one.
Balancing the Locust would be a -Yoink-, though
I hope halo 4 will have them.

It would be cool to drive a scarab
Sounds fun.
I’ve seen it before, I just don’t know where.

Don’t get me wrong, i completely agree, driving a scarab would be awesome. The problem is that the Scarab isn’t a vehicle, its actually considered a ULTRA heavy infantry unit. The other thing is that there aren’t necessarily any Scarabs left in operation, and if there are any they are most likely affiliated with the Arbiter(AKA Thel Vandamee) and thus will be loyal to the Arbiter and his followers. They could be your allies in a later game if the Arbiter and the Chief team up again in Halo 5 or 6.
Nah man, it’ll just take a couple of burst fire shots from my AR to cause it to explode
