Now, Reach has a “good” lobby system but it could be better. Here are a few changes that I suggest from the Reach lobby into the Halo 4 lobby.
-
You can see players GT’s even before all players are found (someone made an entire post about this).
-
Before a game starts, players can be fitted straight into a lobby that lost a player. For example, if there is a full lobby before a game, and someone dashboards it, your down a player. With the new system the game will not start until a replacement player has been found or at least 50% of players on the team missing a player wish to just start the game (they do this through a vote). Players cannot join in game.

Being able to leave a lobby even after all players have been found, WITHOUT having to go to the dashboard . . . just press B and you go to the multiplayer menu. This will only work if suggestion two comes into place, otherwise it will be abused more than it is now. No penalty is taken as long as the match hasn’t started yet.
Post what you think, I’ll add good idea’s into the OP and give you credit for them.
Dragondude80’s post:
> 4)Sounds good, but i would prefer being able to join in-game maybe with lobbies too, there should be different MM options like ‘‘search quick match (join current matches)’’ or ‘‘search lobbies’’ and ‘‘regular MM’’
> i just don’t see why are people so against of joining in-game matches so much…
I didn’t add this to the OT because there are people (like me) against joining in game. However, if there is an option for the “pop-in” kind of games and the normal ones than everyone should be pleased.
@Dragondude the reason people are against it is because players just popping in can mess with the flow of a game, within a few kills I know my enemy team, whose weak, whose strong, and how they work together. That is a skill-related feat, knowing your enemy. Pop in teamates or enemies can ruin that.
