Hopefully we don’t have to unlock guns with rank, that being said, we probably have to. With that being said, we’re probably going to be stuck using the crappy default BR/DMR load-outs for the first few games.

If they did, I’d be kind of angry… 
If we had to “unlock guns” in halo 4, I would loose all faith in the game.
We do have to unlock weapons with rank, along with purchasing them with Spartan Points.
343 is trying to assure everyone that the weapons would be unlocked quickly, though.

Yep. Apparently 343 is tailoring 2 of the loadouts per map, though. I’m not sure how well this will work, though.

The Limited Edition comes with 6 Specializations available day 1. We don’t know at this time what Specializations entail, though.
Guys, its ok.
Yes, you have to unlock weapons and abilities.
But those are only for custom loadouts.
For each map, there are 2 pre-set loadouts designed specifically for the map, regardless of what you have unlocked.
And I’m pretty sure custom loadouts aren’t used in every playlist. That would be like making you spawn with an Assault Rifle in SWAT because you haven’t unlocked a precision weapon. 343i aren’t stupid.

I don’t think that pertains to unlocking weapons, I believe they said the specializations were the paths after leveling to max. Something like armor and new emblems, but not guns. I’m a little cloudy at best, so don’t take my word for it.
I like this new custom classes thing. I always hated that if you could grab all the power weapons on a map you could win the game.

Available day 1, yes. But you still have to hit the max rank to use them.
Soecializations are different things you can do once you hit the max rank. You can specialize in certain things that you unlock each time you hit max rank. Normally, I believe, you’d unlock one or two at a time. The Limited Edition unlocks 6 when you get there.
Doing specializations gives you access to exclusive armor and emblems… no weapons, I’m pretty sure.

We don’t know exactly how specializations will function, especially the ones included in the Limited Edition. Your post is purely speculation.

Exactly, let’s have some faith people. I hate that some ridiculous accusation comes around and people soak it up like sponges, then go raging on the forums without even thinking if the info makes sense.
You will unlock guns to use in Halo 4 in playlists that support loadouts.
Thankfully, you have Spartan Ops to level up in if you feel that you need that BR or whatever you want before stepping into the playlists.

I was referring to the classes that are pre-made. The guns are great, but their set up is probably going to be BR, Pistol, Frag, extra ammo, and light shield or some crap like that.
