Wouldnt it be kinda cool to see a weapon like a M249 SAW in the halo universe? And yeah i know turrets are detachable but those are turrets…they use 50 cal rounds while the SAW uses the 5.56 bullet just like a regular assault rifle…i thought it would be kinda cool to have a LMG spawn on the map

yeah maybe with a higher rate of fire…i think it would be awesome =]
and who knows with 343 adding recoil a LMG might actually work well in halo

50 to 60 round mag would be perfect! i hope 343 does this!

I really dont think so…i think it would be sweet to have the LMG cuz its more portable than the turret…and if halo 4 has weapon attachments or what ever wouldnt it be nice to customize it?

I think that’s the jist if it. It’d probably have less DPS than the mountable gun while not having the user bein slowed.
As long as it fits in the sandbox, totally.
It’s called the turrets, and I don’t think what type of bullet it shoots applies for Halo. It may in other games, but in Halo generally weapons are fictional guns. Basing them on real life guns and giving them names besides the generic ‘Assault Rifle’ and ‘SMG’ would lose some of the magic for me. It sounds stupid, but it’s one of the main reasons I play Halo.

Uhm… actually all the guns in Halo have generic names. And also turrets are not LMGs.
