instead of seeing trough your eyes looking at your back like gears of war NO thats will ruin the game so much for me what do you guys think?
I don’t think it would ruin Halo. I mean, you see yourself in 3rd-person view often enough when using turrets and vehicles.
I’ve actually often wanted a third-person perspective in Halo. I think it would play cool. Granted, I still want first-person to be primary.
I wouldn’t mind some kind of toggle option in a custom gametype. Maybe even a third-person playlist. CoD did that and failed though. Halo already kind of has third person when driving vehicles or on a machine gun.

Very true. Trying a new perspective in a new game? Sure, why not? Forcing a new perspective on an old game? Hell, no!
Given that this very website lists Halo 4 as a FPS, I think we’ll be fine.

I think it should be an option to be honest. Have you guys ever tested out a plugin for Halo PC that enables the player to switch between first person and third person? That was amazing.
Gears will never be Halo, Halo will never be gears.
I doubt Halo 4 will be like Gears of War, Halo 4,5, and 6 will probably be a FPS just like all the other main titles. It would be cool to have a third-person action game set in the Halo universe though…I mean Halo Wars showed the Halo universe can exist as a game outside the realm of an FPS…would be cool for a spin-off or something…
