Halo 4 legendary Machete

They should add the legendary machete to halo 4 because it has been with us for every game, and it should have some sort of significance to the story.

Eh? confused, elaborate please.

It could be used for assassinations, replacing the S3’s knife.

Just think of the crazy animations…

I don’t really see the machete as something that a Spartan would use if given the choice to use something else. It seems very low-tech in the hands of a super soldier, and considering 343’s desire to up the science-fiction themes in Halo 4, that incongruity would only become more blatant.

Maybe it is some ancient precursor weapon…

Even more reason to exclude it; I hate the Precursors and their inclusion in the Halo saga.

Legendary machete?? Where is this??

Myriad reasons, most of which I won’t go into. I simply think that their inclusion is unnecessary and the ramifications of their inclusion detrimental to the story as a whole. If you want a more detailed explanation than that, then you should know that I set forth most of my arguments in the very first thread that I made on this forum, entitled “Halo 4 and the abundance of retcons”.

That’s a pretty swell idea. Even better though would be to dual wield them. But even BETTER than that would be to dual wield them and slice off an Elite’s head where–for a millisecond–you see the legendary icon in (virtual) reality.

Oh boy, thanks for answering our questions… >.>
