in the mission forerunner at the very end, cortana is supposed to give you an extra boost from chief’s shields so you can escape quicker. But the boost never comes and it makes it impossible to beat the mission on legendary. Any help?
Boost in shields? I don’t recall i ever got that. Be it the 360 or MCC version of Halo 4.
Besides there’s no need for a boost in shields. It’s LEGENDARY for a reason son.
EDIT: I just only saw you meant boost FROM shields. My bad.
It’s tough but I managed to do it a couple of times.
I noticed this on my last play through. The Ghost was moving the same speed, but my shields were still up. I still made all the jumps and completed it fine (it was on Heroic). So it’s not that your ghost isn’t getting the boost … or maybe it is, I don’t know.
Try it again and capture a clip so we can see what you mean exactly.
Chiefs shields are still up and when I hit LT to boost the ghost, the percentage in the top left corner stays at 100%.
I beat it no problem
For anyone that cares, i have solved this problem. It was no glitch, insted the problem was with my controller. A scew next to the left trigger dislodged from the hole it was in and lodged itself behind the LT, which made it not go far back enough to trigger the extended boost, but went far back enough to boost the ghost normally. Never thought that would or could ever happen. But certainly wouldn’t have happened with a 360 controller.

You -Yoinking!- kidding me? That’s the craziest thing I’ve seen online today! Props to you for figuring that out I would have never been able to do that?

Thank you thank you.
Though I didn’t have your exact problem you have helped me figure this out.
The bodst bar stays at 100% and your shield bar at the top should be empty.
I am using an Xbox one elite with the elite controller and the hair pin triggers on.
I had to disable the hairpin triggers to be able to boost on the ghost and make the jumps.
