Hello. I got Halo 4 on the day it came out, and things were going great. I was loving Spartan Ops, crying about the Campagin, and blowing through ranks like there was no tomorrow. Until about three weeks ago. I had almost finished the first mission, Dawn, on Legendary. I was right at the part where you were running through the burning ship to get to the escape pod bay. However, right before the cutscene, my screen froze. It would freeze for a few minutes, then show the cutscene loading screen, asnd then bring me back to the main menu. When I hit the Xbox Guide button, I heard the sound, but it didn’t show up on the screen. I tried reloading the checkpoint to no avail. I tried restarting the mission, but it just did the same thing right after I killed the Elite, every time. I tried playing Requiem on Legendary, but it kept mini-freezing (as if there was lag), so I quit. Solo Campaign worked fine on Eassy and Normal, however, when I tried playing on Easy in two player Co-Op mode, it still froze. I tried playing Spartan Ops online (Heroic in four player mode), but it froze right after the UNSC Loading symbol and ejected me back to the main menu. Two player Co-Op Spartan Ops on Easy worked fine as well. I only have a thumbdrive (eight gigs), and I’ve cleared my cache about a billion times now, but I’m getting a hard drive today to see if that works. Please help! I really want to play Co-Op with a friend who hasn’t played yet and I want John’s armor a lot (for reasons I can’t disclose at the moment, let’s just say they involve a familiar canyon-like setting of Ravine and some less-than-up-to-date seasons of a popular webseries)!!!
Check and see if you have a ring on your disc… I have played mine, no issues cept for lag… If it has a ring contact the retailer if still under waranty… if not MS/XBL… If no ring, make sure the disc is clean.
