I just got Halo 4 Limited Edition, I put it in the Xbox and it starts up everything is fine, except I have no sounds on the menus or on in-game cutscenes. But I do however have sound on the Xbox menus itself. The only scene I can actually hear is the Prologue… Why is this?
I’m having the same exact issue. My sound worked for the first couple of MP matches too but then it just stopped working and is exactly as you describe.

I got the LE and it works fine. Call customer support 1-800-4myxbox.
I tried a friends disc and it worked. I must have gotten a broken disc…
Did you check your sound settings for the game?
My Matchmaking sounds stopped too…
I returned my copy to best buy, since they did not have anymore LE they opened a regular edition and swap the discs, your Halo 4 comes with limited warranty 90 days, take advantage of it.
I have sound hit and miss. The Xbox always has sound. Halo 4 will suddenly no longer have sound in multi-player. If go to the Xbox dashboard and restart Halo 4, it works, until I start the Xbox up next time. This only happens in Halo 4. This is a Halo 4 issue. Do a Google search, there are many gamers having this same problem.
