It’s always the same thing with all limited editions: “This time they’ll be limited for real”, and still huge piles of limited editions are found on store shelves months after release. Exactly same was said about the Legendary edition of Reach, that it will be more limited than the Legendary edition of Halo 3. Still, everyone who wanted one probably got one. So no, I believe you have absolutely nothing to afraid as the limited editions are always just “limited” and the numbers are always “fewer” than before which actually translates to there being as much limited editions as are pre-ordered plus few thousand extra copies so that everyone has a chance to get one.
Edit: Oh, and even if it actually is limited this time and not just “limited”, appropriate amounts will still be sent to each country based on the estimated amount of people buying the game. In any case, you most likely won’t have to order your limited edition from another country.

Exactly, they are business men. Or, more precisely, the Microsoft marketing departement are businessmen. Now, if you think about it, which is better for your business A) having a limited amount of copies ending up with gains limited by the amount of copies made, or B) having as much copies as are needed and letting the gains go as high as the demand? Surely, no businessman would miss the opportunity of maxing the profit.
The Reach, Halo 3, and Halo 2 limited editions are still selling…for brand new. It most likely won’t be much different with Halo 4.

They’ll have extra floating around. I got my Halo: Reach Legendary Editions months after it released for $50.
You guys have to remember though, Microsoft apparently got burned on the Halo 3/Reach special editions so maybe this time they really are limited.
People tend to aim for the cheaper version, so you can always find one somewhere.

Made me feel dumn for rushing to get my limited edition pre-order in. I suppose it isn’t like a numbered limited (e.g: Fallout New Vegas) so it would make sense for there to be loads.
