I have recently had found cracks on the Halo 4 disc when I was putting it into my Xbox. I don’t know but it might have to do with how they made the LE case it came in. The case had no push and release function. You had to literally pull it off. Has anyone else have this problem when they got yours? I have no idea if this type of topic has been posted yet but I just need to know. I don’t like it when my games get broken due to how the case was made…
It’s been an issue with Limited Edition/metal cases for years. I think you can get a replacement, but I don’t know why they just don’t make the cases better.
I’ve been trying to be really careful switching discs (or even putting it on lightly rather than all the way in).
It does make me nervous, but you really just have to be careful.
I do hope this kind of case design is improved in the future.
I don’t know about warranty info and stuff for it, you may be able to get a replacement though.
Yeah…that sort of thing is exactly why I’m super careful when I put the disk back in the box.
You don’t “find” cracks on your disc unless you (or someone else) cracked it. Not saying the case didn’t contribute, but at least be honest.
I know that when Halo 3 LE came out, the two discs were in the same spot. Some complained about scratches on the disc due to this and Microsoft replaced these discs. I don’t know if they’d do the same in this case though.
