Probably because a few million people felt cheated and cancelled their pre-orders.
You get specialisations and an extended FuD (Which will ultimately appear as a download or available as a DVD. So NOT exclusive to us.
You buy the Standard edition and purchase the Map access, you get the 2 Helmets.
It may be weird for some people, but “skins” should have bee left in the other games. I wanted something to show for it. Some decent armour. Something that’s “officer” equivalent. “Limited” may seem to be a great description of the contents included.
To put it in perspective.
100$ for limited edition.
60 for standard
25$ for season map pass
20$ for Forward Unto Dawn
105$ total
For 5$ more you get the extra emblems and helmets that come with the stand alone map pass. You also get a physical copy of Forward Unto Dawn.
You do however lose the “Making of Halo 4”, the tin case, Spartan IV Introduction kit, and early access to all specializations.

Also, watching the extended edition of FUD on youtube or the making of FUD is illegal. And you will be hard pressed to find them there.

While it’ll be difficult to find them on youtube, they’ll be plastered all over torrent websites within the first 24 hours.
Just ordered. Was raging because all the gamestops were like “no moar” and i was like “NOOOOOO! I WILL NOT BE DENIED!!” OP is a lifesaver.
