Halo 4 "Launch Multiplayer" questions

Hello guys, have to say that I really wasn’t into Halo the moment Halo 2 came out and with the way Halo 4 multiplayer is being developed, I have some questions to you veterans that where in the first days of Halo 2 multiplayer.

Halo 3 and Reach(Reach) had multiplayer betas, hence the multiplayer was, in a way, not so “broken” if you may and this helped have an idea of what to expect once we had played the beta and the changes were announced on bungie.net back in the day.

How was Halo 2 MP on launch day? was it bad? were the forums invaded with threads of CHANGE THIS IS BROKEN. how long did it took for the first Patch in comparison to Halo 3 and Reach? just that

hope this makes kind of sense and thanks for any reply.

Halo 2 was severely broken the day of release. It required tons of patches.

Halo 4 has beta testing…

It’s just not public. Instead of getting randoms to play the beta, usually for the sake of playing, they’re getting the pro’s and those who care and have been with the series for a long time to test.

you can’t really compare 4 to 2’s potential release. Different technology, different minds, different everything. They have resources at their disposal that 2 did not have, so trying to draw conclusions from one piece of data (ie. Halo 2) can’t suffice since they are completely different generations.
