Im gonna persume that the game will use kinect as feel that there is not enough buttons on a controller to move a future soldier, for example kicking, melee, voice commands like here take my weapon, telling marines to throw grenades or snipe a target.surely this would enhance the game and sell kinect?or wait for a futher 2 games before 343i decide to milk it.
Those ideas would be good for a next gen ODST2 game me thinks.

343 trying to milk it? last time i check Microsoft is in charge of milking kinect not 343
Microsoft said at E3 2011 that after Halo: CEA, all first-party 360 games will use Kinect in some way. So yes, Halo 4 will utilise Kinect. Only as an option, of course.
And no, doing any of those things as a new feature would make a mess of Halo: it’s not Mass Effect, it’s not Bulletstorm, it’s not Ghost Recon. We won’t be giving Marines orders or kicking anything.
Edit: I don’t know if all first-party XBLA titles used Kinect so far this year… pretty sure Alan Wake’s American Nightmare didn’t. Maybe it’s retail games only.
> > Lets just hope that kinect kancer is nowhere to be found in Halo 4. The KINECT ONLY Library in CEA was just a complete gimmick

> it depends on how its done, giving commands to troops to take out tanks or what ever, volleys of grenades thrown,melees.winner.
who need crap like that? Voice commands getting really slow recognized… I can press LT to throw a grenade (which is faster) or screaming “grenade!!!11” (which takes time for kidnect)…
Srsly people. Take that Kidnect crap out of Halo.
Lets face it the Kinect will be involved in some way but as little as possible hopefully.
sorry but day i have to start jumping around my living room to play halo will be day i will turn of my xbox.
I like the kinect for what it does but keep it away from halo and other shoot em’ups
I don’t think it’s bad to use kinect, just as long as it’s used as shortcuts. I don’t want to be forced into buying kinect just to use a couple features, especially if they’re major.
I hope there’s loads of Kinect stuff in Halo 4, enough to make it “Kinect Required” if Microsoft have the guts to do that. I’m sick of luddites bashing Kinect and holding videogames back. (The potential of Kinect and Kinect + joypad compared to just a joypad or even Wii/Move is like the potential of 3D 32bit games of the Saturn and Playstation compared to the potential of 2D 16bit games of the Megadrive and SNES.) There’s so much cool stuff they could do with Kinect in a Halo game. (And games in general, I’ve got so many ideas already.)
I’m not just saying that with nothing to back it up, I’ve described elsewhere my Kinect FPS controls concept for example (the first of which I basically had the idea for back when “Project Natal” was revealed) and even made a video simulation. Here’s a link if you want to read and see my ideas, just scroll down a bit in the following link to see the video I made and scroll further down to read my extra ideas about how a game using my concept could have more options you could select so you could make it more hybrid by having more joypad controls if you wanted them (rather than just having 100% Kinect controls or 99% Kinect controls plus the joypad trigger for firing) and controls to allow you to play sitting down:
Edit: The link isn’t showing up after I post. Just go to a website called 123Kinect (dot com) then click on “Forum” at the top then click on the “Kinect Game or Application Ideas” forum then click on page 2 then click on the “Kinect Shooter Controls Idea” thread.
Edit 2: My bad, the link is there, it just blended into the background and was hard to see, lol! I’ve bolded and highted it now.
P.S. Please don’t bash the “game” in the video, I’m not a programmer or 3D graphics artist so I just had to throw the simulation video together using a web-based 3D animation maker and a video editor which is why it’s very simple, it’s just to demonstrate my concept with more than words.

I have to agree, for me imo to many players like it easy(COD games)there is no imagination in players any more, ive had enough of no inovation in games just cashins due to playing it safe and milking a game(wheres the fun?).Kinect if done right can add to the experience now i agree with some of you and not the other,i dont fancy running on the spot for a double dash attack/sprint or even reloading my weapon or even having a full blown conversation.when i read some of the ideas for Halo games on way point its quite clear that there is not enough buttons on the controller, more buttons or kinect?which one is -Yoink!- gonna opt for.
Now when doing co-op it could get a little confusing giving voice multiple commands from 4 players to the comrads whoever they are,There could be a challenge where you can drive a soldier to commit suicide"skull unlocked".
I just want to sit on the chair axe kick some enemy with simple knee jerks, vocie comand heavy fire, here you go bro take my smg.Lets admit the wildlife as been abit spars in Halo imagine a beast you could command as your personal pet bear dog thing cross reptile whatever on a laser chain/doggie chain"Go get em boy",Chew his a**".
Kinect needs to be an optional thing, only instead of re-applying normal controls, players should be given the advantage of having a few bonus controls. For example, Shouting “Infared” and heat sigs in proximity pop up. Or “Go prone” and player drops to his stomach.
> Why do people post in this forum without being up to date on announcements? No kinncet support for halo 4
If you check the original date of the first post, you’ll notice that it was a month ago. Back then, it wasn’t as widely known (if at all) that Halo 4 wouldn’t have Kinect support.

A military super soldier with a pet “bear dog thing cross reptile?”
