Before you tell me to go back to Reach or anything hear me out, I love the game, the matchmaking is fun and the Campaign was phenomenal. All I’m saying is that Halo 4 killed custom games, how? Well, we have Grifball built into the game, which is kinda cool I guess, but we don’t have assault? I’ve heard that they wanted all of the “core” gametypes to be in at launch and then add others in later, so I’ve gotta ask… why does Grifball have precedence over Assault? Grifball’s an Assault variant! Also, we still don’t have VIP back or Race, so goodbye Racetracks. And forge. Dear god forge. Forge isn’t as clunky as Halo 3 by a long shot, but it’s a hell of a lot worse than Reach. Sure, we’ve got dynamic lighting and stuff, so that’s kinda cool, but we don’t have zooming, fine editing, or a new palette. 343, everyone had been complaining about this palette since Reach’s launch, why did you bring it back and make the objects misshapen so that they don’t fit into one another well anymore? And infection, we can’t give the zombies weapons anymore. I get that Flood mode is cool and all, but infection was better for Custom games. No more Duck Hunt, no more Halo on Halo, no more any custom game that required zombies to have anything but a sword. And what happened to the file browser? That was one of the only things that was super cool about Reach. If they can fix all of this in an update I’d be super happy, but I’m not a game dev so I don’t know whether or not they can. Anyways, sorry about that, just needed to rant a bit.

Are they giving us the ability to give the flood weapons/fixing forge and adding in the file browser?

they haven’t specified, all they said is that they’re going to be using TUs to improve the experience instead of just bug fixes.

ya I really miss custom games and i want them back in the file browser. And i mainly want race back because that was so fun.

It’s been four months, and I’m still enjoying Halo 3 more…
I just finished a Custom Games session. It was phenomenal. Instead of complaining about the current custom game options, appreciate what we have and actually go and PLAY custom games. It’s still super fun.
This is how I feel, custom game lobbies are so rare now. In Reach I’d get invitations from friends, randoms, whoever and it was hours of fun nonsense.
