I know a lot of people will disagree but, it should be and it’s mainly in objective. All you’re doing is stat padding your K/D for what reason, so people can think your good for spawnkilling a team who cannot fight back? This draws a lot of people away from Halo also. It was bad as hell in Reach because of the flawed trueskill system. I think it should be penalized but that’s just me. If you have to kill farm to stat pad, that just tells me something about your K/D. If you are skilled, why do you need to kill farm? It gives the team an unfair advantage and your taking direct advantage of bad players to get easy kills. It happens a lot in BTB and well mainly in BTB. I think there should be a system implemented for it but that’s just me.
If I wanted to stat pad, I’d honestly go play COD.
Wait… you want to punish killing in a Halo game? A mature-rated FPS shooter game where the objective is to KILL the other players?
And you want to punish “too much” killing?
This world is getting WAY too soft.

I think he’s talking about Objective. Not that I agree with him, but if you are playing CTF or Assault and you aren’t trying to score and simply spawn kill…it’s a -Yoink- move.

No…you’re not getting my point.
Do you have any clue as to what kill farming is? \
It’s where in BTB objective games, you score two flags whatever, mop the floor with the entire team for 13 minutes and then go and score aka stat padding. It happens in Griffball too. It’s called taking an unfair advantage over lesser skilled players, which in turn, turns them away from the game.

Well sure but my point still stands. And how are you even supposed to define “too much killing”?
Oh, snap! You hit 40 kills and you have been banned for hurting a 15-year-olds feelers.

That is what I’m talking about.

Dude, you aren’t understanding. it’s not defined as “too much” killing. It’s defined as camping the other teams spawn and killing them before they can move. That’s what I’m talking about. It discourages players from playing. Who wants to play a game where you can’t move without your head being taken off?

Of course I know what kill farming is I have over 750,000 kills in matchmaking collectively.
I still think banning people for it would be a step too far. It’s a rated-M game and it’s online multiplayer. If you can’t handle it then just quit out of the game and start a new one.

People shouldn’t have to quit out and lose possibly xp for being matched up against a team who uses a tactic that isn’t even refered to as a tactic. It’s called respectful gaming and not exploiting the spawn system. It’s unfair to do. I can understand it’s online multiplayer, but why would you kill farm a team that you know cannot hardly do anything and then laugh in their faces, when they couldn’t even move without being mowed down?

btw Viper, thanks for not flaming me.
No
It will never be bannable
And it shouldn’t.

Then there should be an option put in to avoid those kinds of players.
Well your K/D ratio doesn’t get tracked for your stats in objective game, so that should get people to concentrate more on the objective rather than just kill farming.
I say they should remove the option to view your K/D. It makes players be A-holes in most games it’s in.
There have been options for years to counter these kinds of players. Even simply upping the damage resistance option for 3 seconds on spawn will knock those players back to the spawn line then the spawn spot.
> I know a lot of people will disagree but, it should be and it’s mainly in objective. All you’re doing is stat padding your K/D for what reason, so people can think your good for spawnkilling a team who cannot fight back?
Maintaining and setting up a spawn trap does take teamwork and a lot of communication, which I consider to be a good trait in matchmaking, no matter who you verse.

You just answered the reason as to why it was a problem - the trueskill matchmaking system, not the players themselves. Why should a player or team be banned for improper matchmaking “match-ups”? That’s what turns people away.

You wouldn’t be able to kill lesser skilled players if the game had an ranking system that actually worked so good players played good kids and BKs played BKs. Just sayin.
Simple solution to objective killfarming: Spawn Armor. Gears of War 3 has this feature, and it works quite well. They can’t stand at your spawn point and kill you once you reenter since the temporary invincibility would grant you enough time to react.
I would think people cheating in MM would get banned not people killing others …

Reach Called and would like Armor Lock Back …
