Just a question. Do Master Chief actually jump higher (or even run faster) in Halo 4? Or does it only seem like that? Considering in Halo 4, Master Chief have huge legs (What i think).
This is what I mean (First, hold your right hand over the left box, and then over the right one). I kinda seems like the right box “jumps” higher right?

Does our mind get tricked to think that he jumps higher than he actually does? Because now, he pulls a lot more to his body than he ever have done before.
All that really matters in gameplay is two things:

how high his feet go. Because it’s the feet that need to make the jump. A better crouch means a higher jump

How much harder you are to hit when you jump to throw off your foe’s aim. A higher jump with legs stretched will force your opponent to make his reticle go up, but a lower, crouched jump, will make his target smaller. Both achieve a difficult to land shot.
As with many balance issues, it’s all dependant on how they actually implement jumps, though. I just hope they won’t screw up…
