I can agree. This ‘hidden ranking’ system is incapable of pairing you with people of your level. After the first, say, 5 games of any playlist I’m getting paired with the sort of person who can pick you off with a DMR in 22 nanoseconds. Highly annoying, especially when paired with the blammy latency I get when an American is the host.
I have the same problem and it’s not the weapons or anything like that, it’s the ranking system. I have a 1.5 KDR, just like I do in all the other Halos, yet I’m being paired with people who are always 2-4. I can manage against them, but I have to try as if I’m playing to win money. Solution? Put in social playlists or create a toggle where skill rank doesn’t matter. Right now infinity slayer is beyond annoying because of this.
There is nothing wrong. The weapon balance is different than the other Halos you played. Its called challenge. It would suck if you got placed with nothing but lousy players.

I’ll agree with this. Regardless of your skill level, sometimes you just want to relax. I am a vet player but playing every game like it’s on my 50 is just taxing, having constant adrenaline and constantly having to be your toes is just something not all players enjoy. I made this thread requesting social playlists, you can support it if you’d like.
This game isn’t hard. The first time I played multiplayer after completing the campaign I got my -Yoink- kicked but the very next game I had 19+ kills. This game is just as challenging as the rest of the Halo games. Maybe you should go back to CoD for more spray and pray.
They need to implement social and ranked for this reason. Some players want to relax sometimes. Also, do not tell the OP he sucks. Maybe he is new to Halo. Not all of us are veterans on this forum.
OP, find a friend online who can teach you how halo works. If you play other shooters you might be accustomed to tactics that flat out dont work on halo. Wish you well.
Dude calm down. One of the major reasons of people complaining is not giving it enough time to get used to. I am an above average Halo player and the first day of Halo 4 I sucked horribly, but now I am dominating. Just get use to it and a big tip is play on a smaller tv like a 26 to a 36 inch is the best IMO. Just get better at the game and I bet you’ll love it just like me once I got good.
