Actually, I disagree with this title. But it is the title of EVERY POST I FIND HERE NOW. It was the same s**t with Halo: Reach, and Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Wars, and Halo 3, and Halo 2. But maybe not Halo: CE, but that still had a few (very little) issues.
Instead of hating on the game and leaving it at that. Can we at least come up with some solutions to the problems we face without throwing everything away?
For example:
I would love it if 343i made the following changes in the next update:
*If it is possible, fix the lighting so the players do not look like they glow even if they are in the shade.
*Wargames should introduce double exp playlists, classic slayer with no loudouts or sprint, and Highest skill level aside everyone’s SR.
*Fix the weapon lowering mechanics and possibly introduce a machinima slayer variant that allows online players to lower their weapons. Maybe introduce playable elite models.
*Theatre needs to disable kill feeds and the announcer in free camera mode.
*Infection needs more customisation. eg. Changeable player colours, flood weapons, loudout traits, flood appearance etc. Maybe even make a player turn into an elite.
*Bring back gametypes such as “insane”, “race”, “One Flag”, “Assault”, “Invasion” and “Classic Flag”
*Slayer option to only count scoring by actual kills.
*Introduce Mark VI GEN 2 armour (Halo 4 Master Chief Armour) into multiplayer. I have no idea why they didn’t do it in the first place.
*Reduce DMR hitscan/auto-aim by 20% and up BR, no-scoped light rifle, covenant carbine, and storm rifle damage by 5%.
I apologise to the constructive criticism and unique threads on this forum. But I’m still losing faith to this community. I literally facedesked when I heard “COD is the better game this year”. Common, We are better than that!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Team Slayer Pro in the list and isn’t that basically barebones Halo? Or am I completely wrong or did they take that out when I wasn’t paying attention? Other than that I completely agree with you. People just like to whine I suppose.
This is the worst game yet due to two new features: Random Ordnance and Instant Respawn. 343 can make this game better than Reach if they scrap those two features. Unfortunately, those are two of the core additions to the game, so I can’t see 343 changing them.

There are plenty of playlists that disable this. I’m sorry, but I find that features that are very easily avoidable are not worth complaining about.

Wrong. It’s just Halo 4 without AAs, PODs, and radar. Thanks to random ordnance, it just becomes a campfest, since there are no incentives to move.

I strongly agree with most of your points, this could be easily fixed with the patch. We will just have to wait and see until the upcoming weeks.

Find me one playlist in which Random Ordnance is removed. Find me one playlist other than CTF in which Instant Respawn is removed. I dare you.
I’m tired of people not answering questions on this forum when they know they are wrong. It’s disappointing and it doesn’t lead to in depth conversation.

team slayer pro, dominion, infection. When you mean random ordinance, you mean curtain points randomly drop a selection of weapon and any random time. I think it is a good and bad thing. It teaches player to not fully rely on routes that always give the player a armed advantage. bad because it gives randomers rewards since the weapon indicators always shows you where they are. Maybe if there was an option to disable ordinance indicators and only social playlists use random ordinance.

Because you phrase your posts like a bratty pre teen…that doesn’t lead to in depth conversations either so they choose to ignore you…simple.

It’s the bare bones if you only go as far as Halo: Reach. There are modded gametypes like this that simulates pre reach gameplay. Basically Team Slayer Pro without sprint and loudouts.

Instant Respawn is in every gametype other than Dominion and CTF. I haven’t played flood, nor do I care to. Random Ordnance COMPLETELY RUINES A CORE ASPECT OF HALO. One of the main purposes of Power Weapons/Ups was to create map movement. At the highest level, players knew when weapons would spawn and would move around the map accordingly. It was part of the strategy of Halo. Does your opponent have control of the map? Well, if they do, you need to get control of those next rockets in order to stay in the game. Or, alternatively, you could make a push for Camo and attack from behind.
Just listen to how in-depth the timing of power weapons and power ups was in Halo CE:Video
Having one weapon spawn every 2 minutes or so and not knowing if it’s going to be something useful like Rockets or Sniper, or something worthless like Railgun or Needler is extremely detrimental to the game. It encourages players to camp in the power position, not to move around the map.

I’m 20. Thanks though. As I said, people have a tendency on this forum to back away from a losing argument. I may have taken my frustration out on an innocent person in this case, and for that, I apologize. I would rather people admit when they aren’t correct about something so they can learn. This whole problem of tension between various communities is routed in each other’s inability to admit when they’re wrong.
> I’m tired of people not answering questions on this forum when they know they are wrong. It’s disappointing and it doesn’t lead to in depth conversation.
Firstly, you already know the answer to your own question.
Secondly, you waited an entire 10 minutes before throwing a fit that no one had responded to your inane question. Classic sign of entitlement that has become all too familiar.
Thirdly, the fact that you are posting here with questions of that kind already proves that you only seek self-satisfying gratification from others who agree with your opinion as if you are on some sort of crusade.
If you don’t like the fact that ordinances were added to the game, I’m sorry. Your opinion isn’t necessarily the majority’s and don’t try and tell me it is with number examples because I already posted a thread covering that nonsense. I like ordinance drops because I no longer need to worry about being betrayed over and over again by a teammate because I took the sniper rifle or other power weapon. I don’t have to worry about fighting with friends over who is the best with a certain weapon that spawns once every 180 seconds. I can also test my actual skill against other players who have customized ordinance drops like I do instead of my luck when facing a player with the power weapon I never had the chance to get. If you believe this game caters to “noobs” because they can now receive power weapons without having to betray others, you may have a twisted view.
Opinions are opinions, please stop posting with hostility because you are disappointed.
As for me, most of the problems I have with Halo 4 have already been addressed and will soon be fixed. There is, however, one small issue I have with Halo 4. THE LACK OF HEMORRHAGE/BLOOD GULCH! It was my favorite map and a classic… without it I feel empty. Then again, I hear lots of people hate open maps, so I may be alone in my opinion. But then again, I don’t come to the forums and scream how disappointed I am with the entire game because I think that something is missing.

I can understand that it’s core to halo as it is to sheilds. But they added random drops to add more variety into the gameplay. EG. In Zanzibar/Last resort, I would always go for the br ammo and sniper, then advance to the shotgun. Random drops was designed to think around the environment more than just spawns. But I don’t think it will be one of those features like sprint when it will somehow integrate itself into every multiplayer match for Halo’s future wether you like it or not. I’d like to think of it more like an experiment like armour lock. Sucked, by stayed in the game for customs and casual playlists. Maybe 343i might nurf it for some of the “hardcore” playlists. We’ll see…

I’m just tired of playing games on Solace that become very standoffy (which is partially the maps fault, since it has no power positions) or games on Haven which just become mindless pushes up to top mid since there are no power weapons to strategize around.
