From the stunning array of maps that are the best of any Halo game, to the incredible amount of variety in the weapons that are perfectly balanced, Halo 4 is the best Halo yet. Thank you 343 for this masterpiece.
As an 11 year Halo veteran playing since CE, I salute you 343i.
I am a Halo veteran (been playing since CE) and honestly this is the best Halo. 343i have done everything I wanted Bungie to do for a long time, and so much more.

Anybody can say that. And no offense, but you really don’t know what Halo is if you call Halo 4 the best Halo. I’ve said it before, Halo 4 is a decent game, but it is not a good Halo game. It shouldn’t even have the name “Halo” in it’s title. It’s foreign to what Halo should be.

By your own logic does that mean Halo Wars or Halo Reach aren’t Halo games?
Clearly you just can’t accept change, and want every Halo to be the same. If this happened, it would be the new Call of Duty, with nothing new in each game.

Halo Wars wasn’t even created by Bungie, so that doesn’t count. And I liked Halo Reach. Did I love it, no. It was my least favorite Halo game Bungie made. But it still had somewhat of that Halo formula that we’ve grown to love.
And I can accept change, if it’s executed correctly with plenty of thought and respect to the original Halo. And this Call of Duty you speak of, yes, it’s only the most successful game franchise of all time. So it seems as though your logic is wrong.

Yes, but if 343i wants to make Halo become more like Call of Duty, they will fail. You cannot copy another game or CoD’s elements and expect success, as seen by many other shooters that failed miserably trying to do this.
Halo 4 only adds a small amount of CoD traits, but still keeps the classic Halo formula, which keeps it from being a CoD knock-off, making it the ultimate FPS. Halo 4 is the best game of 2012.

I’m not saying 343 should make Halo more like CoD. That’s the last thing I want. But sadly they did in fact make it feel more like a CoD game rather then Halo. I’m saying sometimes, copying and pasting isn’t always a bad idea. Sure you can experiment with different elements to change things up a bit, but to completely step out of the boundaries will lead to confusion.
And about 343 not making Halo feel more like CoD, you are wrong. For example:
While I think Halo 4 is the best as far as graphics, sound (cept the hog sound like an RC), and story (again, cept the ending), I like Halo CE a bit better. I think it’s mostly nostalgia though. I tried playing the multiplayer recently and I quit because I was getting irritated about the magnum haha. I like it because while some parts were campy, I think it was a good story and it saved Xbox. It also got me hooked on Halo and now i try to get all the books, soundtracks and games.
