I have just finished playing a particularly engrossing game of Infinity Big Team Slayer on Meltdown and I have realized how great this game truly is. It is a technical masterpiece of the highest degree!
Power weapons came flying in from nowhere every 5 seconds and the battlezone was full of the sounds of SAWs and Rocket Launchers but…that is no problem! The game is so well designed that I am easily able to beat great players who defeat their opponents honorably in battle crouched with active camo and SAWs. I pull out my storm rifle and pulse grenades and the battle is once again even!
Then, from my peripheral vision, a mantis and a banshee fly straight at me, and just as I think I am done for, my team support me with a Mantis and two ghosts! I feel really in the middle of an epic war and the battle is so epic that the framerate can barely handle it!
The vehicles collide and are destroyed in literally three seconds, however, before I am able to grieve the death of my comrades, another enemy has just approached me with the Mantis that re-spawned after being crushed three seconds ago.
And just as he is about to crush me, and I am sure this time I have died, the game freezes in lag and the game finds a new host! The story is pretty tense so far!
Will our hero survive…or will he be in the lands of purgatory forever more?
3 minutes later our story is resumed, however, our hero is now all the way at the start of the battlezone. Thank God the game took pity on me and saved me from that deadly Mantis!
I run out, prepared for combat, when a sniper rifle and fuel rod cannon shoot down into combat. I hide behind a rock and clutch my trusty storm rifle for combat, but, just as I run out, I am instantly mauled by the sounds of Beam Rifles. It must have been Personal Ordinance!
This game…it’s something else!
Long Live Halo 4!
