Would you still buy the game?
Stop complaining about inexistent things please…
Halo 4 is Halo, it isn’t cod in space or other**** you want.
It’s only a Halo changed
Like the transition from Halo 3 to Halo Reach.
Well techically Halo 3,Halo ODST, Halo Reach and maybe Halo Wars doesnt deserve the halo titles and this is the fist one to cover completely the Halo Arc

I’m still buying “4” on November 6th.

I don’t understand either… To me they are very much Halo games.

Yes, what???
a) One of the best looking games on the Xbox 360
b) Made by a talented team of game designers (Sparth etc…)
c) Fun, fast (from what we have seen) FPS?
I’m in.

Just leave please.
Halo 3 was by far the best in my opinion. I loved that game and I still do. It’s my favorite game. They deserve Halo titles, some halos are better than others though.
from what i see, Halo 4 doesnt have halo in its MM at all anyway.

I’m not complaining about anything?
I’m simply just asking if Halo 4 was named something different, would you still by the game?
I would buy a game called “4”
Probably not because I’m not sure I want a game just called 4. Honestly, if there was a game that had the exact same gameplay as Halo, but didn’t actually have Halo in the name, I would still buy it. (As long as they didn’t get sued for copyright infringement, that is.)
4 sounds fun. Can’t wait to see the guy called Master Chief… he seems so cool and original.
So im buying a game called 4? Wut?

You’re completely right. I mean, its not like there are Spartans and Battle Rifles and Assault Rifles in it… oh wait. How does the matchmaking, the very little we’ve seen, not have any Halo in it?

Considering most people use a mash up of every single FPS out there when describing Halo 4, Spider’s probably jumping the gun in assume this could be one of those threads (which it clearly isn’t)
It depends really, I might if it’s a bit like the teaser trailer and we’re floating into some mysterious portal type thing alongside a ton of ships. Because the story is what usually brings me in to new games.
I don’t understand why changing the name of the game would have any effect whatsoever on people’s willingness to buy the game, unless you’re looking at it from a marketing standpoint, i.e. it might not sell as well because people don’t recognize it as being part of the Halo franchise. But you’re clearly asking this question to people on the Halo forums who already want to buy the game, so no offense but that’s kind of a silly question because no person would decide not to a buy a game simply because the title of the game changed.

Exactly. The point is that many people just simply buy something because of the franchise. No matter what steps and processes are taken to create this game, as long as a selling franchise has that famous title on the front of the cover, people are going to buy it regardless.
Any game genre that has multiple copies of the same game are still following this principle. For everyone that is on the forums right now talking about the game development, makes up for a very small potion of the actual community that will hear about Halo 4 two weeks before release.
