Halo 4 is not making me as happy as it should

The game is getting to a point of not Reach 2.0 but Reach 3.0 this is Halo and 343i is taking it somewhere where it should not. It will be a great game but some changes are bad and also why are they keep making the game more noob friendly? I want trueskill and something to brag about ffs. I want to play competitive when I want and I want to play for fun when I want.

They’ve constantly confirmed that you will be matched with people of your skill level
-_-

I mean like visable trueskill.

Then play in an MLG playlist? That’s my solution anyway…

goes down on knees and Halo 2’s Unforgotten song plays

Why?
Halo is going down a new road
We will still have this old feeling while we play on Ragnarok
We… cries

Actually, just try it first, goto a friends and used them for Halo 4 or walk in to some random persons house and play on his copy…

Don’t judge something before you try it or taste it…

When i said taste it, that is if you buy Halo 4 and EAT it!!

^ they did that to stop the amount of cheaters, braggers, harassers, sellers, and outright D-bags.

But I wish they would at least make it visible to only you.

Oh wow! Reach 3.0!? So they’ve developed the game so much that they managed to skip a sequel version and go straight for a much more advanced game!?

(seriously, do most people not understand how versions and decimal marks work and what they represent?)

I still don’t understand. People ask for a ranking system and they get it. Not only that, they made it invisible so people wouldn’t be as likely to boost. And what do people do? They complain about it. I can guarantee if the ranking system was visible, people would be complaining because so many people are boosting. We should be grateful we got any kind of ranking system at all. They could’ve easily left it out.

^^Arrogant statement; what makes you/us so special that we should be fully catered for, and new people to the community should be left out?
They are growing the community by making it more accessible to newcomers. Or would you rather the community just eventually shrink? Of course, attracting new players means more money in the bank for the developers/microsoft; but guess what, that eventually comes back round to the consumer in the form of new blockbuster releases with more money spent on development etc.

Secondly, TrueSkill has always been in, and will match you in competitive games. Also, nobody cares about the stupid number next to your name (do you think your going to be sooo amazing at Halo 4 that we are all supposed to stop and go “wow I wish I was that cool”? Haha yeah right!

This is what the Halo community evolved to. “Fans” are supposed to support the developers, not torture them. Maybe in the future, the new Halo will support ranks, but I want to enjoy a game without people quitting out because of a players rank.

Unfortunately this is probably the worst option they could’ve picked for casuals. This type of invisible ranking system will have way more cheaters than the visible ranking system ever thought about having. So many people are going to go in and derank on purpose to lower their invisible trueskill so they can play scrubs all day and get more exp at a faster rate.

At least with visible rank their would’ve been a major deterrent to doing this, now there’s not one at all.

Ugh, I’ll say it again.

You suck at the game, you lose most games, you go negative every game. THAT is why you don’t want visible ranks. Because you hate it when you can’t get past a level 25 and get messages telling you how bad you are.

Am I right or am I right? I’m right, I thought so.

This is so wrong…

I don’t think this is the case, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

I go positive almost every game and I don’t want ranks. What now?
It’s actually possible to be good and not want ranks, believe it or not. It sounds crazy, I know.

To further support my point, I’m even better than you in Reach according to our service records. Seems like you’re the bad one here

There was a decent amount of people (small in percentage compared to the whole population, but still decently large in numbers) who used to do things like this when there was a pretty big deterrent for it. Now with absolutely none, the number will most likely increase drastically. I could be wrong, but it sure looks this way atm.

Still waiting for a good answer

OP you forgot the “I don’t give a crap” option

I’ll wait till I play the final build of the game on November 6th before I make my opinion of the game, unlike most people.
