Im not trying to be mean or anything, just want to get some feedback from the community. EVERYONE WHO PLAYS HALO IS A FRIEND OF MINE! SO PLEASE DONT BE MEAN. THANK YOU!!
IVE BEEN PLAYING HALO SINCE HALO 2 CAME OUT, AND I MUST SAY I DO LIKE HALO 4 BUT THERE IS JUST A FEW ADJUSTMENTS THAT NEEDS TO BE MADE TO MAKE IT THE BEST HALO.!
I really like what 343 industries is doing with the customization of the spartans! I think that makes the game fun and makes people want to play to unlock new armor.
HERE IS WHAT I THINK NEEDS TO BE ADDED and FIXED. Let me know what you guys think!
-
The are missing some very popular playlists like TEAM DOUBLES and MLG.
-
There is no true ranking system like halo 2 or halo 3. They NEED TO BRING BACK LEVELS FOR EACH PLAYLIST 1-50. Trying to get a level 50 in every playlist to see how I compare against other players is what makes me play. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! With no ranks, what are we playing for? ITs like sport teams just playing for fun with no final score or overall record. They are just playing for nothing.
-
The maps get really old really fast. Every time I try to play infinity slayer or team slayer pro, ITS THE SAME maps over and over again!
-
ALSO capture the flag on abandon is stupid! How is one team gonna start downhill and one team gonna have to go uphill??? terrible set up for capture the flag.
-
Another thing that kills me is the unbalance in the DMR and Battle Rifle. Why is the DMR able to shoot better in farther distances? I thought they were suppose to be even.
-
ALSO, if we can bring back maps like valhalla, can we please bring back narrows from halo 3?
To me halo 3 has been the best halo so far. I think its cause the way the ranking system and EXP was set up in each playlist. You could rank up individually in each playlist as you rank up your overall rank.
Halo Reach to me was a fail. I played the game and I tried to enjoy it, but It just want the same.
I think it would be nice if 343 brought back halo 2 ranks. This consists of ranks from numbers 1-42, and then levels 43-50 were identified with a special symbol…
Sorry for my long rant guys, just want to reach out to the halo community and see if people feel the same way I do1
what do you guys agree with?
I just want online grifball
almost none of it.
I could do for the doubles playlist brought back, but thats about it.
I dont need an mlg play list, its (personally speaking) not halo anymore and one of the worst competitive game types I have ever played.
The skill ranking is working fine, its there, its just not visable. People are up in arms about this because they can’t publicly stroke there e-peen, belittle, and/or tell people to shut up they are not a 50 and are not allowed opinions on anything.
If you really want to know your trueskill, you can view it from halotracker.com
I could care less about the DMR vs BR argument. I mean really this game has always had a single gun that was more dominant than any other gun in the game
ce - pistol
2 - br
3 - br
reach - dmr
4 - dmr
why should i have to go to a 3rd part program to veiw my rank htown? such intellegence.
I understand that you dont care for the MLG playlist which is completely okay with me. But in order to please everyone, why not add it in? You dont have to play it, but just have it there for all the people who do.
Also, for the ranking system, you said that you dont like it being visible, and you like it on halotracker.com Here is the problem that I have with this…
When you search, you have the chance of being matched up with random levels, and you dont know what the levels of these players are. As a competitive gamer, I want to know that I am playing other level 50s in the playlist I am playing. I want to be able to search in matchmaking, and get teamed up with other high levels that match my skill. Right now without the ranking system, You can get matched up with a good player on your team but you can also get someone who is terrible because there is no true ranks.
If you dont like the ranks, then why not have social playlists like halo 3 that you can play with other kids that dont want to play competitively. Therefore you are happy cause your playing with people who are usually not that good, and I am playing with the good competitive players that I want to play with. Then everyone wins… do you get what im trying to say?
Sorry not trying to be rude, I really like this conversation with you because your helping me understand the situation from your point of view which is opposite of mine.
> I just want online grifball
Amen.
The reason for there being no MLG playlist is because of the fact that there are no MLG settings for Halo 4 yet. The “v1” settings arent actual settings but were just made for the MLG Dallas that showcased Halo 4.
I agree, why not add that playlist for those that want to play? It doesnt hurt.
I myself dont want to play it, but I dont mind it being there for the people that do want to play.
As long as they add the playlists that I want to play like Team Doubles or MLG, is there anything wrong with that??
Lol I stopped reading after “they are like sports games, just playing for fun not gaining anything.” or however you said it. The whole point of video games is TO PLAY FOR FUN. Not stroke your e-peen.
If you want to bring back some good maps, remake Lockout or Pit. I agree that the monotony in maps is very annoying, as is the overpowered DMR (and other weapons like the boltshot). Weapon despawn times need to be increased, and there needs to be a default slayer playlist with preset loadouts and non-power weapon spawns.
The true skill rank needs to be made visible to players in-game, as this was a drive for many to do well and play the game. They also need to add friendly fire to all playlists - the number of times I’ve gotten the banshee or mech only do have my teammate blow it up (without killing me) is way too large.
okay that makes sense, so there could possibly be a future release of the playlist then? you know any dates, if any?
People sitting in the back of the map camping is boring as -Yoink- too…
Oh and I want grifball so badly too West. When in doubt, play grifball when you’re bored. It’s the best of both worlds. Very fun for me casually and competitive.
that was a bad example, sorry. I hope you get what im trying to say though. And hey, some people do like to stroke that lol
About the maps, don’t forget three map pack have already been announced and one of the three comes out very soon in december so that is something that will keep war games fresh and fun. Also there could be a good variety of gametypes we could play on these new maps so I’m sure 343 have tricks up their sleves to keep war games entertaining
Thanks man I appreciate your feedback!
i totally agree with you about how the maps get old really fast cause people pick the same one over and over again. and also about the ranking system i think it should be like halo 3, and not really the halo 2 system. we should all what our skill rank so we can match up against the people that take this game competitive or just the people that want to have fun and enjoy the game. another topic you brought up is new playlist, team doubles and mlg in my opinion were the best playlist in halo 3.
Thanks for your feedback! I feel like theres a lot of people that feel like you do
I do agree about having more map remakes, wha I would really like to see is another forge environment in one of the map packs. Possibly a snowy forge environment
Personally I think the ranking system is doing a great job. I get matched with balanced teams and I haven’t yet had to deal with those 5 people who are all together on one side and me with 4 randoms on the other like what happened in H3 all the time. True, people range from SR30 to SR90, but each team has a smattering of high and low levels which I think makes it even.
I think having a playlist like MLG or Pro would be a good addition, and then not allowing full teams to play in some of the other playlists so that “team of ‘pros’ vs team of randoms” doesn’t happen like it did in H2 and H3.
As for this “trueskill” dealio, I don’t think it worked as well as people thought it did. The balance in the matches from H2 and H3 was AWFUL compared to how it’s been so far in the first month of H4 for me. I haven’t felt that “throw my controller across the room because of the -Yoinks!-” feeling that plagued every few games from those earlier titles.
And I really don’t like the idea of my rank going down each time I lose a game, I’m sorry but 80% of the time game losses aren’t because of me not doing well, so I shouldn’t be punished for it. Having the winning team get significantly more experience than the losing team is a good way of doing in my opinion, there’s incentive to win but I don’t get discouraged when it’s looking like I’m going to lose and I know my ranks going to be negatively effected.
I’m just rambling on but on the subject of the DMR, it makes complete sense to me that one primary weapon is better at long range and one is better and mid/close range. Eight times out of ten I win a BR vs DMR close range fight with the BR, and I strategically avoid long range shootouts with DMR people. It’s all part of the strategy, every weapon shouldn’t be exactly the same or else there’s no reason to have different weapons.
The map list will grow with time, and I’m excited to see what comes in the future. I feel like this game has exactly the same amount of starting maps as the other games.
