First off i want to thank you. Some people in this community just dont undersand. If you dont change something up with your game, then it will be the same thing. every. single. time. (Call of Duty) So for all the people hating on the game because its different, it has to be. I have been a halo fan my entire life, and this game is shaping up to be one of the best. (Nothing will beat halo 2)
This game is far from a disappointment. Spartan ops is one of the most innovative concepts to come to gaming in a while. Different season of 50 missions and 10 episodes…its genius. I’m done with my rant. I just wanted to take the time to thank you, 343, for an amazing game.
Fully agree. Halo 4 in my opinion is a true success and one of the best of the series. Don’t think that everyone hates on Halo 4, the forums is a minority compared to the whole bunch of fans that don’t go to the forums and like this game. People will always complain about the newest game on forums. They did with Reach, they did with Halo 3. I bet a few years from now when Halo 6 is out, people will be complaining about it and wish it was like Halo 4. It’s a cycle. We shouldn’t take it so seriously.
343i did an amazing job, they brought the Halo series back to life and it’s back on its throne for the greatest FPS ever.
I agree. I have some small gripes about some balance issues, but the game as a whole is fantastic. I miss some of the old gametypes, and being picked off by the DMR cross-map is getting really annoying, but no game is perfect when it launches.
This is the truth, im loving Halo 4. Its change for the better. All the people that are complaining about this not being Halo, I have one thing to tell you. Go play Halo 3.

the lag compensation system is complete garbage, and this drop in out system is not helping…headshots register about 75% of the time which is a complete joke in such a fast paced game where any tool can gun you down with an overpowered assault rifle…
too many one hit kill weapons…instant respawning behind you while your one shot…its pathetic…
they havent just changed it up, they have massacred the entire halo balance, why do you think bungie added a respawn delay? so your shields could recharge before the next fight…its not like 343i have just revolutionised bungies system they dumbed it down to ape levels…
AGREED. The gameplay is great. THe only issues I have are the lack of many playlists and a visible CSR. After they are added via title update, HALO 4 will be king once more.
I too have been a Halo fan for a very long time, since the original was released, in fact. However, I have found the changes that have been made to be significant enough that it has lead to my disappointment. That, however, does not mean my opinion is any less valid than someone else’s. A lot of people need to understand that before “complaining about complainers” and similarly trying to dismiss them.
I don’t think they MASSACRED it. But I do believe they strayed too far from it.
Unless someone can prove me wrong? Has HALO 4 embraced gun on gun gameplay and, as a result, threw away much of the depth and strategy that HALO MP requires to be successful?
Well I haven’t even played campaign or spartan ops so I can’t comment on that but the competitive multiplayer is a huge disappointment imo. I don’t even really like reach but I didn’t even get sick of that game this fast. I’ve only played the multiplayer for 2 days now and it is already getting boring. The maps are all just awful imo. I’m really not liking the ordinance drop system at all either. It’s also really annoying to have the guy you just killed kill you before your shields recharge because of instant respawn. I don’t even understand why they did this. Was anybody really complaining about waiting a few seconds to respawn? The AA’s I actually think are fine with exception of Pro Vision. I really wasn’t expecting too much from the multiplayer in Halo 4 but I really wasn’t expecting it to be this bad.
As a complete package I love it but what really stands out for me are the cut scenes, they are astonishing on this old generation/life of the console. They really could make a halo movie with these production value’s.

I haven’t even played the campaign yet. I hope the cut scenes and the campaign are good at least so I don’t feel like I just totally wasted $60. I’m really thinking about just playing the campaign and selling the game. The only thing is I’m not sure where to sell the game. I know game stop really rips you off and hardly gives you anything.
The first issue that players need to see is that its been out for under a week and yet players are demanding change right now. Every new game takes a bit of time to see what works and what doesnt before changes are made. Theres alot of people over reacting and it was gonna happen. Best way to to look at is play it if you like or dont. I love what 343 did here. Im allready excited for Halo 5
Unfortunately, people will complain about any little tweak or evolution that doesn’t keep things the same, hence change. I agree, this Halo is great. The MM is fun. Don’t like it? Don’t play it. 343 won’t miss you, you’ve already bought the game.
This game is freakin’ great. An awesome way to begin a new Halo trilogy, and the little hidden ending piece after beating legendary solo is nice treat.
Spartan Ops is AWESOME. I can’t wait 'til episode 2. My buddies and I get a kick out of running in and figuring out how to kill everything on legendary with the different set ups they give you.
And the multiplayer is fun! Everyone’s comparing it to CoD. In CoD, it’s lone wolf. In CoD it’s one burst, or one shot kills every time. In halo, unless you are a camping idiot with a sniper rifle, you need to strategize way past the first hit. I need to work on my melee battles, I think I’ve won 2 out of like 15. It takes much more thinking and skill to be good at this than CoD. They’ve implemented some GOOD things from the CoD franchise. like XP and JIP. I think ordinances are stupid, but that’s just me. You’ll do better if you stay with the team than if you don’t.
The game isn’t perfect, but it’s one of the best out there next to setting up 2 Xboxes by link and playing Halo 2 back in the old college days.
Just because 343 didn’t make it exactly how YOU think they should doesn’t make it bad. Play it, enjoy it, or peace out. No one really cares which you choose.

People aren’t just complaining about every little tweak just for the sake of complaining. They are complaining because the game sucks and is even worse than reach. It really shouldn’t have been hard to make a game better than reach.
