Halo 4 is DEFINATLY going to go over 20 GB.

With the 8GB just only for multiplayer that already is ALOT. But with the disk itself it would be around 6.5 GB prehaps. And including the Spartan Ops Season it would be on an estimate of probably 3GB maybe? So that is already just for the standard version with no DLC. How about the LE version with the 3 map packs??? On average a map pack is around 1.2 GB for 1 map pack. now take 1.2 x 3 and there you have 3.6 GB!!! This is a total of 21.1 GB total. This blows away all the 4GB slim owners and the original XBOX360 owners containing 20GB. So everyone buying a 8GB flashdrive is NOT going to help you unless you are just playing multiplayer. I suggest you buy a 120GB or higher since of the high amount of GB required to play it.

This is turning into a very real problem for me too lol

I have the 60 GB HDD and I think I may only have 7 GB left. Battlefield 3 is a monster on it with somewhere around 15 GB. I may have to do some deleting come November :stuck_out_tongue:

the required capacity to play the game is 8GB

Franky said 8 is enough when someone asked him about S-ops

luckily, I’ll have the Halo 4 LE Xbox that has 320 GB

I thought Spartan Ops was one of the reasons MP is required 8gb, isn’t because they counted that as one of the resounding factors…?

You need 8GB for Infinity and that’s War Games and Spartan Ops combined.

The 8 gigs include Spartan Ops.

Except for the Battlefield part all of that is the same for me. If that new console was a bit more affordable I might go for it.

That’s only if you install the game. I don’t think it’s going to be like BF3 and take up chunks of your hard drive.

Sucks if you’ve got an old xbox then. My first one only had 20g >_<

I honestly don’t remember if my Slim is 250 GB or 320, but either way, this won’t pose any sort of problem for me. Higher memory = more and more polished content (hopefully), and I have PLENTY of memory left on my HD.

Well it shouldnt be much of a problem for a 60GB HDD right? BF3’s map packs and the game itself takes a lot of space, Reach can be uninstalled…

Now I’m glad that I had to buy a 320 gig HDD from Microsoft because now that’s all that is offered legally.

EDIT: by legally I mean that it won’t void the warranty.

this is why they made the le console

It’s time for people to move to higher memory hard drives. It’s ridiculous having below 120GB.

I guess I’ll just delete all 11GB that Battlefield is taking up, and the few gigs of Reach, too.

I have a 60GB HDD, but I never play Battlefield on console anymore, and I’m never going back to Reach.

> this is why they made the le console

No they made the le console to squeeze just a little more money out of us before they release the new xbox.
OT:If your like me you have 20 to 30 gigs of useless demos and trailers you could delete to clear some space.

As long as its not like BF3(which takes like 8-10gb without installing or buying DLC. too many huge updates) I’ll be ok. I will probably install in on day one if i feel i will play it forever. by then i can delete reach off of my hard drive, and i can probably delete all of my BF3 updates(I rarely play it as it is.)

Really? How big was the Close Quarters patch? Just wondering because the BF3 folder on my PC is only 18GB. I obviously have to install the game along with the DLCs.
