“SPOILERS, FOR THOSE WHO HAVENE’T FINISHED IT YET”
I know… I know. There are tons of other review type posts out there, but I just want to take this time and let 343 know how much I enjoyed their first big step in Halo.
Halo 4 was a big surprise for me. After the let down campaigns of Halo 3 and Reach, my standards have lowered. This game has brought new life to this franchise. Halo 4 at its core takes the story elements of Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2. It focuses on Master Chief and Cortana’s story. That’s all its ever been about since the first game. Their journey together beating the impossible in mysterious new places. That’s exactly what I felt in this game. A great journey into the unknown.
Halo 4 has the simple story revolving around two characters and has the complex and rich universe that Halo 2 introduced in its campaign. The ending was just WOW! For me. At first i thought the exchange between Master Chief and Cortana was cheesy, but at i thought it over it made perfect sense. Master Chief already lost Cortana once and this tine, he wasn’t gonna lose her again, but as the story unfolds we find out… (you know the rest.)
Only thing I wanted from this game was more screen time for the Didact because he one cool lookin’ helmet.
Good Job, 343 Industries. Don’t let the haters bring you down. You did a good job.
