You can now:
- Savagely tackle your enemies and stab them.
- Snap your enemy’s neck.
- Brutally uppercut them with a flaming blue skull
- Knock them over with a flag pole and stab them in the face with it.
- Disintegrate your enemies.
- Slash your enemies with an energy sword and finish them off with a blade through their back.
Yes. Most of these are assassinations. But it just sounds odd when you compare what you can do to your adversaries in Halo 4 to what was possible in past Halo games.
Halo’s come along way when it comes to violence, and it’s pretty damn awesome.
And another thing regarding gore. Halo can use some mutilation for once. It’s something that can really make the game more intense and visceral. It’s time to see some elite zealots make sushi rolls out of marines and promethean knights cooking some medium-done steaks out of the elites. I just really want to see what REALLY happens when someone gets stuck by a grenade. And it mustn’t be pretty.

It’s at 25:00, but you should watch the whole thing. Very interesting and informative stuff.
Well, Spartans are supposed to be brutal, so a step in the right direction I say!
343i definitely gave the objective gametypes a much needed do-over.
These assassinations are a great addition to Halo 4.
Quick, effective, versatile and brutal, the definition of Spartan.
Reach had it’s moments too. Occasionally, your character would let out a sadistic “yeah” when assassinating.
Just as the knife enters their gut…
I was genuinely surprised when I saw the neck breaking move. It’s so…different. It’s not a snap from behind splinter cell style, he bends them over his knee, struggles briefly, and then the body goes limp…
343’s animators really worked hard to make these assassinations awesome.
It’s awesome, more realistic, and a representation of 343’s hard work. Note that they’re in War Games, a training simulator program so they’re not actually being killed. I don’t think.
And I think you could always stab someone with an Energy Sword in the back
Assassination.
You could do half of that stuff in Reach.

Reach had some cool assassinations like the elite sparta kick.Im just saying slashing someone in the back turning them around and brutally kicking them to there demise is pretty cool and violent too.The flag and oddball ones were bad -Yoinking!- -Yoink-!
I used to do all sorts of crazy/BA stunts in CE:
Confusing Zealots so they miss a swing (or don’t even get that chance) so I can whack them in the back
Catching an Elite off guard, hitting him with a plasma pistol overcharged bolt, and circling around for an whack
Distracting an Elite who’s spotted me with grenade detonation for assassination
Assassinating an Elite right as I get out of the hog
And I’ve seen/heard H1 veterans do even more amazing things:
-Godly sniping
-utilizing Hunters, Flood, Elites
-melee only on every enemy on Legendary
-sticking Wraiths on foot
-megabattles
-grenade displacement for assassination/killing 2 Elites with half an AR clip on Legendary
-fancy assassinations that I have yet to witness
-speedrunning
And I have to say the H4 assassinations are definitely CE worthy.
Not to mention I’ve humiliated enemies in nearly every Halo game. H4 AI looks like it’s going to be a lot tougher than in Reach.
How about some gravity hammer assassinations already?
> How about some gravity hammer assassinations already?
Yea! Like kicking them over when they don’t realize it and then crushing their skull with a giant WHAM!
> How about some gravity hammer assassinations already?
Kick your enemy forward and ‘hit em out of the park’ Skyrim Giant style

There isn’t any dismemberment which is bad, I would like to see a Brute tear someones arms out of their sockets.

Or something similar to this.

I read that as “Savagely tickle your enemies and stab them”.
Needless to say, I was extremely confused.
