I never care about sales but I saw a post before where a kid was outright stating that Call of Duty: Black Ops II will beat Halo 4 in sales hands down and then he expressed his concern, sadness, for something that hasn’t even happened yet.
Well check it out for yourself, Halo 4 is beating COD currently in pre order sales and the gap is actually widening.
So who’s pre ordering H4 eh!?

I pre-ordered Halo 4+Guild Wars 2 last weekend, that already guarantees a great gaming year for me =)
Call of Duty has peaked. There’s not much more they can do now.
I preordered my copy of Halo 4 Limited Edition, but as far as Halo 4 beating COD, that’s something that’s a little ify, maybe if he was only looking at the Xbox sells, then I could see that happening, but in general, even if Halo does better than COD on the Xbox, in total, COD will always beat Halo’s butt because of being a multi platform game.

But if you look a little farther down the chart, you see BO2 for the PS3… They will outsell us, that was never in question. But I love what I’m seeing with Halo 4, they are doing great as well.
I preordered Limited Edition from Best Buy, and that sweet H4 lithograph is on my wall.

We’ll see the Halo pre-orders will probably rise more when they start relesing more game info

I’m getting LE. Halo 4 is beating CoD right now, but Black Ops 2 on the 360 is the greatest gainer, it added 70k pre-orders last week when H4 added 25k or so, on a single platform Halo 4 currently has the most, but I think that’s gonna change because BO2s pre-orders are catching up very fast. A few weeks back 360+PS3 versions of BO2 didn’t beat Halo 4’s pre-orders, now they beat it by a lot, and individually BO2 is gaining 70k on 360 alone, I’d expect it to overtake H4 in a month or so.
BUT who cares? Both titles are at the upper echelon of sales, when your title begins to exceed 5 million sales anything else is just extra icing on the cake. As far as quality Halo 4 looks to destroy BO2, that’s all that matters to me, I don’t care if CoD sells a few million more.

Even if halo doesnt beat the xbox version of BO2 in sales, doesnt mean BO2 will be better. Halo 4 already has more awards BO2. And just behind The Last of Us Halo has more awards than any shooter this year.
And to answer your question: im getting the console because my xbox us starting to die down.
Cod is going to fail pretty soon, I can just tell.
Hopefully this signals the end for dumb downed console shooters.

Halo only had 24,000 additional preorders last week, Black ops had an additional 70,000. At this rate, BLOPS 2 will overtake Halo 4 in two weeks.
And I’m getting two of the Xboxes.
Halo 4 is ahead of Black Ops II on the Xbox 360 for now. With the weekly change Black Ops II is set to pass Halo 4 in a couple weeks.
And if you add up Black Ops II’s preorders on 360, PS3, and PC Halo’s already been crushed. 
I wish it would just die off, but people won’t stop buying the damn things.

Look at the weekly change, in 2 weeks cod will have way more than halo 4.
