Halo 4 is bad but! It can still be fixed!

The title says it all. Halo 4 right now at this moment is a bad game, but! 343 can totally turn this around by fixing the flaws in multiplayer because though they are minor issues there are so many that it ruins the game. The population before Christmas day was the lowest In ANY HALO GAME EVER MADE! That is very embarrassing I can only imagine that Xbox is looking down on them right now but all is not lost if 343 would just get up off the couch and at least attempt to meet some of the complaints by not just the halo community but the casual and competitive as well we all want Halo to be fun again and you guys can make it happen just get your $%^& together and make it happen.

I’ll address several current issues.

1: unbalanced weapons, spawning etc.

2: maps that are too small to support the sprint function making them even smaller.

3: due to low population it takes a while to get into a game.

4: The perks/upgrades to your Armor just doesn’t feel like Halo making it more like other FPS titles.

5: It’s been 2 months almost and the File Browser STILL is not up and running.

6: custom game options have been watered down to a lot less than what we had in halo 3 snd Reach making it extremely hard to make your own unique gametypes.

Hopefully if you read this far and this wasn’t TL;DR

Here is a video addressing these issues into further detail.

Bump…come on people you want this game to be fixed or what…

343 doesn’t care, they got there money.

Too bad you’re wrong about basically all of this…

The maps are too big…

Fileshare should have been ready to go day 1.

Right now Halo 4 is a crap covered diamond.

Sort of agreed with the title of your thread, but wouldn’t call it bad. However, your points are not problems at all and pretty poor criticism I think.

cliffs:
your thoughts are no good

Halo 4 can’t be saved. It’s not a diamond covered in crap, it’s honestly just pure crap. It has issues which cannot physically be amended. It’s a bad game on a bad platform. The Xbox 360 is an ancient piece of hardware. Any games made for it are automatically doomed. Let’s be realistic and just let this dog die, we need to stop kidding ourselves.

I agree about the spawning, unbalanced weapons, the custom game settings, and the armor upgrades some should not exist (explosives, dexterity, and what ever specialization allows you to see enemy positions all the time after they shoot you but dont kill you until you kill them)

specifically the bolt shot now i haven’t seen the issue until today but its ridiculous it out damaged the scatter shot alot 7 times the first match in like 5 different groups of people it always won 2nd match i got 1sk from outside melee range twice and the dmr dude wasn’t even shooting at this guy he was shooting at someone one on the ledge above him it was off by like 4 foot or something the bullets made a pyramid shape and later someone else was shooting at a jet pack guy he hit the first shot and then just pumped the second shot hit the rest where obvious misses but they counted i don’t care about fire rate but to be that fast and that strong with that much virtual support(which is the bullet pull) yeah it’s OP no doubt sorry i use it i can win with others provided they miss alot but check the weapon stats its obvious whats dominate

Lol @ maps are too big.

The first step to fix this game is that 343 admits its mistakes, that the changes it added to the game have damaged and severely altered the traditional gameplay.
And I doubt that will happen.
Besides, I read that a lot of players (surprisingly) like the game, and I am afraid that they are more than the ones who dislike the game, which is my case.

1: unbalanced weapons, spawning etc.

Agreed but only when it comes to the DMR and Boltshot. I would however like to see the AR have a tad more of an effective range. The instant spawning would not be an issue for me if the player spawns as far away from the person who killed him as possible. Other than that, I would suggest a 3-5 second delay before spawning

2: maps that are too small to support the sprint function making them even smaller.

Stop it… These maps are huge and would take half a century to walk across, if you don’t have a vehicle.

3: due to low population it takes a while to get into a game.

I’m not convinced that this is the cause considering the connectivity issues at times, but I’m no expert.

4: The perks/upgrades to your Armor just doesn’t feel like Halo making it more like other FPS titles.

Stop it… There isn’t a soul besides you that has commented that the game does not play inherently like Halo despite the changes. Most people are upset because they can no longer dominant the game or be as consistent due to the changes implemented in Halo 4.

5: It’s been 2 months almost and the File Browser STILL is not up and running.

I’m sure this is on their to do list. The question is where does it fall in terms of their priorities? Hopefully, 343i will provide some information in the new year. However, 343i has not been the best at communicating, at times.

6: custom game options have been watered down to a lot less than what we had in halo 3 snd Reach making it extremely hard to make your own unique gametypes.

Same comment at #5

> 343 doesn’t care, they got there money.

You’ve got a point there mate but not to many people will be buying the next game.

Halo Reach was bad and Bungie refused to fix it.

Why would 343i change anything when they’ve already denied they -Yoinked!- up custom games?

Nothing will change because 343i are ignorant, they will get rid of the people like you who care about the future of the game, and let in the CoD players so that they too can make a quick buck every year.

Then 343i will also contribute to the stagnation of the gaming community.

Are you blind? You would have to be blind, deaf, numb, and downright stupid to see for yourself that the game doesn’t play like a Halo game at all. Not to mention how many people a day on these pathetic forums say that the game doesn’t play like a Halo game…

Fanboys. I swear to god, who are you fooling?

There are alot of points you make but im just going to go over spawning on the map haven.

There are spawns on haven directly down halls on the stairway which are predictable. I find myself being naded when I spawn a lot. These are the main four spawn points on the map. It would be nice if they could move the spawns slightly to spots harder to insta nade from top mid.

second sprint on haven is mostly worthless. I dont use it anymore because the map is small. When I did use it most of the time it just gets me killed. Basically every corner and some times even halls I get cought sprinting and take 2-3 shots before I can return fire so I Dont sprint.

This is mainly a predictable spawn issue but any changes to help would be nice. When you get a kill on haven you shouldnt get another free kill because of bad easy to frag nade spawns. It feels like a cheap octagon map.

You have four major problems

  1. Lag for the last two months has rippled over the gamer word of mouth network. Along with not halo and the long list of basic complaints aired every day on this forum duplicated in other halo communities.

  2. Spartan Ops is laggy, cheap, and boring. That’s also on the mics in other non halo games playing with randoms and friends who like Halo.

  3. Lack of any really new and fun vehicles. Even the old are so watered down and so easily destroyed due to load outs and large maps that are basically small maps thanks to massive amounts of clutter or super structures that make vehicles game play unbearable.

  4. A silent Developer on all issues save the ones that cost them money.

This game has serious problems undermining it and I’m hoping the TU will display 343 commitment to its title game willl be enough to weather into a more enjoyable experience in 2013.

cameo cream - You should read carefully before commenting. I wrote that the OP is the only person that I have seen write that Halo 4 does not inherently play like Halo.

Yet there still spending 10’s of thousands of dollars just to update the game with fixes that the same people who say 343 only cares about money want.
