Yep, Halo 4 is the beastliest Halo game I’ve ever played. And yes, there ARE a lot of issues in multiplayer. But the game hasn’t even been out for a month! To all you haters: give 343 until this coming summer, THEN yell at 343 for ruining Halo if it’s still bad. Bungie had made Marathon and many more games. That means they have already had experience in making big games before Halo CE. This is 343’s first game, give them the benefit of the doubt and see if the fix the problems. I’m going to make a mega-thread where people compile their wants and reasons. THEN you can judge 343.
So, sure there’s at least 30 problems. But these problems are not as game breaking as you guys make it out to be. You can still play. You can still win. So why say H4 is horrible before it even has time to fix the errors you are mocking it for. 343 fixed the wall glitch. That means they care for H4. Just give them time and they can account for their errors. Have you EVER coded such a complex game? It’s very hard and takes a LONG time to isolate and fix glitches. They have at least 1,000,000 lines of code and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are having trouble with finding and changing it without making more glitches. It’s just like old-fashion Christmas lights: “One goes out they all go out!”

I’m stuck at SR-70 without any code to unlock the rest and it’s November 20th… There’s a dumb daily xp limit. Whats not wrong with 343. They are trying to make players leave.

I’m sorry, but I stopped reading after your “wait until summer” comment. If the rest of your post is in the same vain, then I’m glad I did. Because that is the most stupid -Yoinking!- thing I’ve read in awhile. You want us to wait ~8 whole -Yoinking!- months before passing final judgment on the game? That’s just ridiculous. They pushed an unfinished game on us, and you think that we should be cool just waiting around for 2/3 of a year for them to fix it? -Yoink- that.

I hate that bungie gave halo to 343. They messed up the game. They ruined the story line completely plus lost all imagination when it came to making this game. All halo for is, is call of duty with halo graphics. Damn near everything about halo 4 says look im call of duty by colorful. It really doesn’t mean anything about gameplay, but XP Cap does put a limit on players. Maybe its so people get outside more, or so the late consumers come Xmas have a chance to catch up. Either way I havent hit the Cap yet so I don’t care, but if I did I might be a little upset.

Tbh the whole point of a game is to be fun and challenging, yes a rank can be a challenge, but there is much more to the game. People who are refusing to play because of a rank are being pretty stupid if you ask me.

Bungie didn’t GIVE 343 Halo. Microsoft owns the IP and created a studio to continue development of the franchise after Bungie’s contract ended with Microsoft.
P.S. Your “favorite” game still exists. Just put it in your console and play it. Halo 4 is a new game in the series.

ACTUALLY…I did say this almost exact thing.
1.343 ruined the game by revealing the main villian before the game came out. Imagine if Bungie had revealed 343 guilty spark, the flood and the knowledge of the forerunners before Halo was released. Halo CE is considered a classic because it gives the players the shock of revelation at the turning point of the story in a way that is not dissimilar to how Darth Vader was revealed as Luke Skywalkers father.
SPOILERS BELOW:
In order for the Halo 4 story to succeed it needed to have moments like those that were on par in terms of surprise, scope of effect and impact on the player. And it didn’t. The turning points in the game were mostly easy to see and expect for many people. Certain actions in the game also caused the suspension of disbelief to break because contrived game mechanics were used prior, breaking the illusion of immersion in the cinematic and end sequence.
they also ruined it by revealing all enemies and all weapons with no secret weapons enemies or characters that were of any substance to the plot.
It’s funny how all of the people who say the game is “good” have very few reasons how it is good, execpt for “I LIKE IT.” Yet the people who are upset about its problems are able to list in detail hundreds of issues that need overhauls, fixing and improvement.
Most people can agree that the visuals, art design, and Music are top notch. The flaws that exist lie mainly within mission design, plot flow, character development, multiplayer, game balance, map design, playlist implementation, game mechanics implementation, axed features, and lack of watercooler moments that really jive with previous itterations in the halo universe.

Not gonna happen. Do you know how many other games are being released in that time? Halo will be a distant memory by summer.

100% agree. Only reason I can see people not playing is if they don’t want their XP from commendations, or challenges going to nothing. But even thats a little crazy if you ask me lol.

Ranks make the game a challenge. It’s not having the rank but the road to reaching that rank. Getting comedations, daily challenges, winning games, etc… If there is nothing to strive for then it’s boring. It feels like a demo version. You get to rank up to SR-70, you only get to use 2 out of 8 specializations. What kind of BS is this? If you think about it, buying the regular version is like buying a demo, because you’re limited and it’s half -Yoink-.

halo 4 is great. but 343 can suck a fat @#$!. i never thought i could miss bungie but they have actually pulled it off.
i played halo4 everyday since its release, and never recieved any codes for spec unlock. now, im stuck at 70, with nowhere to go. everytime i play i lose exp (via commendations, challenges, etc)and there is nothing that can be done about it.
there is no way to contact them, no word on when they will unlock the rest, its total bull&#@$!!! at least u could contact bungie.
i just went a bought a new game and am forgetting halo. i mean, i have been playing video games since pong, and NO ONE has EVER tried to get me to NOT play the game. SCREW 343!
if it was their first game, then they shouldve planned it through better
they completely ruined a great game, its no longer got originality over itself
