Maybe 343 is just messing with us but some things make me think Halo 4, 5, 6 will be hopefully better more advanced versions of Halo 1, 2, 3.
Halo 4 has no playable elites. And the story seems like it’ll be a more human driven, mysterious “One man facing a bigger threat”. The same type of story Halo 1 had. Just Spartans. Human driven
Halo 5 I bet will bring back in the Elites. Even maybe some kind of Alien driven story segment. Such as Halo 2. Lets just hope it brings new things for online play ans such.
Halo 6 being back to Human, yet having those elements from Halo 5. As well as maybe adding something to bang out Halo with, some type of ever lasting feature to keep it going (somethinh like Forge/Firefight/threater) etc.
Of course I could be wrong. 343 one day might say “Oh by the way Elites will be playable, we were just testing it” or something.
I don’t know about the whole Alien thing, but you’re mostly right.
Just as Halo 1 shook up the first person shooter realm and innovated many things, the start of this new trilogy, Halo 4, will do exactly the same!
So you want the new trilogy to have the same basic story as the old one?

I think he meant like the arbiter missions from H2, h4 does seem to be returning to the roots of Halo putting us in a world we’ve never seen before and a world we don’t understand.
I dunno, I want the new trilogy to be completely different from the first one. While I loved the Arbiter sequences in Halo 2, the Reclaimer trilogy should be mainly about John with no other main character for us to play as.

No where in this post did mentions :“having the same basic story”, what he was trying to get across is that the trilogy should follow the same plot DEVICES, not LINE, we could play as the Arbiter in Halo 5, maybe trying to get to the Chief or something! This idea would be amazing!
I really hope they dont call them Halo 5 and 6.
Halo 4 is growing on me but I dont know about 5 or 6.
Actually, I think the new music supports this theory. Halo 3 may have had my favorite music in a Halo game of all time, but it definitely has an “epic ending” theme.
Just like Halo CE: this music is fast, adventurous and youthful.
I would love to see them make the same progression in their music.
Um no. What made Halo CE, 2, and 3 was their multiplayer gameplay. Nothing you just mentioned effects that at all.
If that is the case, I have fears, great fears, for Halo 6.
H3 was when single player campaign was butchered and multiplayer, Co-op, Xbox Live were given greater emphasis. No one can deny that there is more fun playing the campaign Co-op than there is playing it solo. Solo may have save and quit, but there isn’t much you can do with it because of all these severe limitations that you need Co-op just to bypass.
H3’s campaign ending wasn’t so great. The last 2 levels are just horrific when played alone.
I think 343i has taken a deep look back at the previous halo trilogy and it’s likely that the same basic “skeleton” of the previous trilogy will be used in this one. The Reclaimer Trilogy will be innovative and will set the tone again in the gaming world.

You’re just putting it in a fancy coat. What I said and what you said are the same thing. It’s so hypocritical how some players condemn those who want Halo 4’s gameplay to be traditional whilst they themselves rejoice with the news that the opening level of Halo 4 will be reminiscent of CE’s.
