To all of those who and those who don’t support 343i withholding information about HALO 4 from the community in general. Have you ever purchased a new car or home without looking at it or inspecting it first? No. This analogy might seem a bit extreme, but it makes perfect sense to me. I want to see what I’m investing my money into - sooner or later.
I’ve said many times before – everyone is entitled to their opinion.
If you don’t want any HALO 4 info – fine, so be it.
If you do want info HALO 4 info – fine, so be it.
If you want to complain about the lack of info – so be it.
If you support 343i withholding information – so be it.
Info will be released sooner or later – apparently later this month – Great! And I bet almost everyone will watch or read about it and you can take that to the bank. Watch the forums after an announcement or a video/trailer is shown – it will be like watching fireworks on the 4th of July.
If you don’t like the reading about the lack of info posts – don’t read or respond to the posts.
If you do like reading and responding to those who complain – so be it.
I think they should keep it just a little bit more secret and release new info later this month, or at the beginning of March. So I’m somewhere in the middle.
I don’t think anyone is actively against seeing anything. I think they’re against seeing too much information and information presented in the wrong way. They don’t want to see the campaign because they want to experience the campaign first hand. They don’t want gameplay information revealed in a misleading way that will give them false expectations.
Also, you made a thread that seems to respond to peoples responses and told them not to respond to things they don’t like while saying everyone is entitled to their opinion. Little hypocritical.

Yeah I would like to see more of the Multiplayer, Firefight and this rumoured ‘New Mode’ than the Campaign. It’s hard to say how much of the story should be hinted, I think a general theme should be given as some people will only buy the game or only think of buying it for a single player experience. With Reach, I knew most of us knew the fiction already which is one of the reasons so much of the Campaign could be shown, but it was too much for me. Halo 3’s Campaign coverage was ok for me. Perhaps give us some screens of small clips of environments, weapons, vehicles etc, not of any characters or plot hints, I want these to be as unexpected and surprising possible. However, it’s trailer still needs to fulfil it’s purpose it attracting people to the game so maybe something similar to what they done with the concept art, a slight jaw dropping and game selling glimpse at the very end.
