Ive been considering this fr some time putting together ideas and listening to rumours, and I think I have come up with a moderately good theory as to why there hasn’t been any in engine screens or gameplay shown.
Youve probably heard this mentioned before here but it seems all too likely to be the case the halo 4 will be a next gen title…before you sigh and light your blowtorch hear me out
-Halo 4 is the only halo game to not have an in engine reveal trailer (exceptt wars I think) the reasoning behind this? Either the engine in game isn’t looking so hot at e3 last year or…it looks to good to be on 360 therefore it was cgi’d .
-it’s been confirmed for 360 this I realise and expect to be either a ruse or the truth just putting my ideas out there.
-No leaked content: around this time in its development halo reach had experienced several leaked of screens, these could be because bungee was different in its security of information protocols however the reason tht there haven’t been any at all for halo 4 could be because it’s on a next gen console it is kept soooo top secret that there have been no massive slip ups so far.
-Xbox spring showcase rumoured to be the halo 4 reveal show (who knows) but if this was the case then where better to reveal a next gen Xbox than at the Xbox centric event of a spring show case?

So basically your theory is that H4 actually is on the next console, even though it’s confirmed by 343 to not be, and this console would be coming out this year even though it hasn’t even been announced yet?

We are several months from halo 4s release date I fail to see how it is too late to announce a new console especially within next month at the showcase. Think about it where else would you reveal it? Also what else is there to “showcase” apart from a next gen console(what with nintendo already showing there’s off) and halo 4 alongside it.

You can already preorder it and its box shows it’s on the 360 if it suddenly was on a new console then loads of people would be ripped off.
Mircosoft already announced that there would be no new console reveal this year.
And 343 have confirmed it to be on the xbox 360.

It makes no sense from microsofts point of view to release halo 4 for (360 the things been obsolete for years) if they are planning on releasing a next gen console any time in the nearish future.
there is no way the new xbox would be coming out this year

If there’s no reveal for a new console this year, then even if there is a reveal next year(2013) then it will only release in 2014.

my theory: 343 just doesnt want to give us info,they want to make us hyper-excited
AND frankie posted on neogaf that we will have info before the vgas i think(definitely before july)
They are holding off the Xbox, it’s not coming soon.
Frankie also said there would be some info before E3 this year (july) so we might have it any time now.

And here’s me thinking I made the post pretty easy to understand I suppose you can’t put it where it isn’t.
What with the wii U supposedly outperforming both ps 3 and Xbox 360 wouldn’t you being a competitor want to outdo them where it counts, in game quality?

They are going to release a console but not this year and probably not next year so halo 4 cant be on it. and as stated above there’s been multiple confirmations that halo 4 WILL be on this gen console (360).
Halo 5 and 6 will almost defenitly be on the next xbox and any other halo games they might make.

Enjoy a chill strip bro yes I realised this but notice how most halo 4 rumours arent quashed whereas this one was just seems a wee bit suspicious to me but perhaps I’m being paranoid.

That’s what I have been trying to tell you this rumor has been squashed to a pulp.
YOu don’t need to try nd tell me I know this but the fact that it has been so widely spread as being false by 343 and Microsoft is grounds enough fr suspicion IMO.
