If you are still confused as to what is going on and why your playlists are updated then let me try to explain with some information I have collected.
Infinity Challenge
The Infinity Challenge is a Halo 4 tournament free of charge with 2636 prizes with 3 Tier and 5 weeks of Weekly Challenges for 20 lucky people each of those weeks to win early prizes.
The round everyone is waiting for at the moment is the “Qualifier Round” which starts December 17th [3am PDT][6am EST] to January 10th [8:59pm PDT][11:59pm EST] The people who get placed in either Tier 1 Tier 2 or Tier 3 depending on how they placed form playing Spartan Ops or Matchmaking. People who are tied in a spot will be determined by who got the score first which breaks the tie.
The “Final Round” will have all scores reset and everyone in there Tiers 1-3 will begin competing again on January 12 til January 19. You will be now competing for the prizes in each respected Tiers(1-3) as well as the top spot for both Spartan Ops and Matchmaking.
How This Works
Depending on what prize you are aiming for you will have your separate options to use to compete in that -Yoink!- Mobile Gaming Tournament.
Matchmaking players must be using the “Infinity Challenge” playlist when available in order for the scores to count and be put on the leaderboard. When you play in the “Infinity Challenge” playlist your scores will be tallied until the end of each round so don’t quit out every point counts!
Spartan Ops players will have to use the “Find Game” option for their scores to count. Using the “Play Chapters” option will only get you XP but no point towards a Tier spot. For each Spartan Ops chapter completed using the “Find Game” option gives you 1 point. Keep playing using the “Find Game” option to continue earning points.
What Is At Stake?
This is what the tournament is solely based on but hey just have fun!
For 5 weeks there will be 1 Weekly Challenge each week tied to the -Yoink!- Mobile Gaming Tournament. Each Week 20 first responders will have a chance to win 3 special and early prizes before the actual prize round happens.
