I know it may seem a really small thing, but the reason me and a lot of my friends didn’t enjoy reach’s infection mode (CG) was the fact that the game chat was not split into teams, it just didn’t have the same panicked feel H3 did when you heard a zombie coming. And also made it difficult to plan with your respective team. Everyone i’ve spoken to is begging for a game chat where the zombies cant hear and vice versa, to get that old infection fun everybody wants back again.
I just hope that the zombies get Promethean Vision, and I’ll be a happy camper. (Pun not intended) This will go a long way towards giving an edge to the zombies, which they always need.
As for the mic settings, I don’t care which way it works.
Eh, I like the more laid-back atmosphere that whole-game chat promotes. I could see the use in having team chat as a gametype option, but I think whole-game should be the default.
What killed Infection for me was the fact that Living Dead’s maps were awful, which made the gameplay awful.
I agree with you, however the team only mic should be an option. There are the serious zombie survival games which need it, but mini games should have universal chat.
What I really want now, which needs to be a default setting for all game types especially infection is the ability to fully customize the load outs. As I mean by this, allow the creator to make each load out unique with different health, movement, damage, etc. settings so you can actually have TRUE classes and not just load outs.
