Wouldn’t it be cool if 343I made the same type of infection in Infinite were they made the spartans look like infected flood?
Thoughts? Would you like to see this type of infection return? Or more survival type of Infection, with rounds of different flood forms?

The aesthetic would be cool, however I would like to counter you with the H2A infection mode. The zombies looked like people infected from the flood, and the he art style was much more satisfying than the H4 flood.

Yes, agreed. It’s so much possibilites for some flood gametypes in Infinite. They could make some sick maps based on Palace Of Pain.
Well im not that hyped for infection yet. We dont get the classic shotgun so how is infection going to play like? In terms of character models in infection i thought 343 nailed it with 4 and 5. But we’ll see how they will do it

“Not having the classic shotgun” is such a niche complaint about it. We will probably get the classic shotgun in Infinite even if it isn’t at launch, just like we got the SPNKR in Halo 5. And besides, if they needed to up the damage output on the shotgun or something for an infection playlist, I’m sure they would.
Back on topic - I liked Reach’s initial Infection at first, honestly. The combination of map glitches, and armor abilities just made it a lot of fun for me.

I prefer having content at launch. I dont support WIP’s
I would like a flood look but optional so you can have variety on what you can do for custom games especially since H4 infection you couldn’t assign a different weapon to infected even though they looked pretty good as for people talking about the shotgun it might be AR starts for infection again like some of H5’s infection variants which I’m fine with.

More content is preferable for sure, but every single game that comes out now receives constant updates and is considered a work-in-progress, which quite honestly makes sense.
For someone that doesn’t support WIP’s, you’ve sure played a ton of MCC, Halo 5, GTA, and FIFA - all games that get constant updates and new content.
I don’t mind a unique model as long as they don’t pull what Halo 4 did and restrict the zombies to a reskinned sword only.
90% of the fun in old zombie modes was the zombie being able to use other weapons and vehicles. Modes like Ice Cream Man, Fat Kid, and Halo on Halo were impossible in Halo 4.

I mostly play single player games. Halo is a exception. And ive played way more games than those. Believe it or not i buy games for the single player content. So updates to games like GTA V are useless to me. And i played 1 fifa title in years. Is that a crime?

So, you meant you don’t like in-game single player updates, as opposed to that you don’t support them? All of those single player content experiences have continual updates and can be seen as WIP’s (weapons and bounties in RDR2, cars and weapons in GTAV, things like challenges and the acrophobia skull in Halo 3).
I understand where you’re coming from - I like as much content as possible in my game launch, and would prefer to have most of it on release day instead of an additional 75 GB of files over the next 9 months, but such is the way of gaming right now. And who knows, maybe the new shotgun will be even better for Infection than the tactical variant.
I’ve liked every games “zombie mode” since they first started putting it in.
So I’m sure I’lll like whatever they put in.
That being said, I prefer the Flood/Zombie game where you actually look different, and not just a Green Spartan.

No sorry. What i basically meant is that i dont mind new content coming to the games. What i dont like is a situation like h5 where there are barely any modes in the game from launch. When h5 launched it was basicaly a WIP instead of a live-service. I want the game to launch with the appropriate amount of content. Including the oroginal weapon designs bungie made all that time ago.

Thanks for the nightmare fuel, i love it. I would expect it to be toned down for Halo Infinite’s (probable) T rating though. Halo 4 is more reasonable, but i’d expect something new, to fit the classic style without as much body horror… Or maybe just particle effects… Or nothing at all if the flood isn’t in the game… we’ll see.

I think H4s zombie should be the starting zombies, Alphas, then the H2As should be anyone who was infected by them

I think that’s a good idea, though I don’t personally care for the H4 Flood art style. That said, I would like them to use the current Halo: Infinite flood art style if flood are even in the game.

My point was the H4 zombies look like a humanoid pure form.

Now that is an interesting concept, though I wonder if a humanoid can even be a pure form? Maybe I am going too deep here, but Halo Three has the three forms: walker, turrent, and Hunter-type (not sure of their exact names). Maybe the Halo Wars games have explored other forms I am unaware of?

I would like to see the juggernaut form in an infection mode from the original xbox Halo 2.
Hopefully they bring back the infected spartan skin. It’s one of those little details that made Halo 4 so special. A small change that could be made is to change the animation of the hand. Turning it into a tentacle that hardens to use as a sword, or wrapping itself into a weapon.
